(PLVN) - The civilized tourism behavior contest aims to promote and guide the behavior, attitude, habits, and civilized behavior of organizations and individuals when participating in tourism activities, in order to actively enhance the image of Ca Mau tourism, towards friendliness, elegance, civilization, and professionalism.
On November 28, the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Ca Mau coordinated with units to organize the 2024 Provincial Tourism Civilized Behavior Contest.

The contest is organized with the aim of improving the quality of tourism human resources in Ca Mau in the direction of friendliness, elegance, civilization and professionalism. Thereby, creating opportunities for staff and workers in the tourism industry of Ca Mau province to exchange, learn and share experiences. At the same time, promoting the Code of Civilized Conduct in Tourism; promoting the image of Ca Mau tourism, contributing to improving the quality of services, thereby promoting tourism development in particular and the socio-economic development of Ca Mau province in general.
The contestants are Vietnamese citizens working in tourist areas and spots; restaurants, hotels, OCOP entities in the province, students and trainees studying in training facilities in the province.

Participating in the 2024 Ca Mau Province Tourism Civilized Behavior Contest, there are 13 teams from tourism business and service units in the province, taking place with 2 rounds: The selection round has 3 parts, including self-introduction, tourism professional aptitude, and tourism knowledge.
The final round of the ranking competition, in which each team sends a representative member to draw a situation. After the host announces the situation, the team has 1 minute to think, discuss and send a representative member to answer. Other members can add or correct their team's answer (if necessary). In addition, each team must answer additional questions from the judges.

After more than a day of working urgently, seriously and fairly, in the evening of the same day, the Organizing Committee announced the results and awarded the collective prizes including: 1 First Prize to the Hoang Ho - Canh Buom - ICOGroup Joint Team; 1 Second Prize to the Ca Mau Provincial Museum Team; 2 Third Prizes to the Nam Can District Team and Ca Mau Eco-Tourism Area; 4 Encouragement Prizes to the Muong Thanh Luxury Ca Mau Hotel Team, Hoang Hon - Dat Mui Community Eco-Tourism Area, Dam Doi District and Song Trem Eco-Tourism Area. At the same time, the Organizing Committee awarded 4 additional prizes to outstanding individuals in the competitions.
