6 mountainous districts disbursed more than 438 billion VND, reaching 19%

According to the Department of Planning and Investment's statistics, in 2024, the total capital to implement 3 national target programs on new rural construction, sustainable poverty reduction, socio-economic development of ethnic minority and mountainous areas in 6 poor districts of Nam Giang, Tay Giang, Dong Giang, Phuoc Son, Nam Tra My, Bac Tra My is 2,254.7 billion VND (accounting for 64% of the capital of the national target program of the whole province).

Of the total capital above, the capital for 2022 - 2023 extended to 2024 is 894.4 billion VND and the capital plan for 2024 is 1,360.3 billion VND.

Up to now, the People's Committees of the districts have allocated 2,090.8/2,254.7 billion VND in detail, reaching 93%. Of which, investment capital is allocated 1,190.2/1,290.6 billion VND (reaching 92%) and public service capital is allocated 896.4/964.1 billion VND (reaching 93%).

As of July 22, 2024, 6 mountainous districts have disbursed 438.1/2,254.7 billion VND (19%), including: disbursed investment capital 326.3/1,290.6 billion VND (25%), disbursed public capital 111.8/964.1 billion VND (12%).

Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Le Van Dung assessed that, although the Provincial People's Committee has continuously directed and urged, the disbursement rate of capital for the three national target programs on new rural construction, sustainable poverty reduction, and socio-economic development in ethnic minority and mountainous areas of 6 highland districts is still low.

Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Le Van Dung acknowledged that the three national target programs mentioned above have great social significance. Therefore, immediately after this meeting, the secretaries and chairmen of the People's Committees of the 6 mountainous districts need to resolutely direct the district departments and offices and the commune-level People's Committees as well as related units to focus on removing difficulties and obstacles that arise to speed up the capital disbursement progress.

According to comrade Le Van Dung, the target set for localities to strive to achieve by the end of this year is to disburse 100% of the capital source for 2022-2023 and disburse 90% or more of the planned capital source for 2024...
