528 works participated in the National Press Award "For the Cause of Vietnamese Education" in 2023

According to the organizers, the 2023 National Press Award "For the Cause of Vietnamese Education" received 528 entries; the largest number were from electronic newspapers, followed by print newspapers, television and radio. The 85 best entries were selected for the Final Round.

Each category has selected 1 Special Prize; each category has 1 First Prize, 2 Second Prizes, 3 Third Prizes and a number of Encouragement Prizes. 2 typical characters according to the annual tradition of the Award have also been selected.

In addition, this year there is also a subsidiary award for the 5-year Press Award Program "For the cause of Vietnamese education" called Dedication for the press units that participate most actively, effectively, and contribute the most.

In general, the works reflect quite comprehensively and multi-dimensionally about education at all levels. Through press works, the movements of the education sector; what the education sector has strived for, as well as the difficulties, obstacles, and limitations... reach the people and readers; from there, society understands more about the sector to share and accompany the education sector in the process of innovation that still has many difficulties and challenges.

Sharing at the press conference to summarize the National Press Award "For the cause of Vietnamese education" in 2023, Mr. Nguyen Van Hieu - Deputy Director of the Department of Press, Ministry of Information and Communications, member of the Final Jury, said that this year's Award received nearly 800 entries, most of which were in the electronic newspaper category, followed by print, television and radio.

“The quantity and quality of entries are increasing. The topics are diverse and rich. The award attracts the participation of many reporters from central and local press agencies” – Mr. Nguyen Van Hieu noted.

The 2023 National Press Award "For the Cause of Vietnamese Education" still accepts press works in 4 categories: print, electronic, radio and television.

In each category, the Organizing Committee selected 1 First Prize work, 2 Second Prize works, 3 Third Prize works and a number of Encouragement prizes; along with 2 typical characters in the winning work.

The 2023 National Press Awards Ceremony "For the Cause of Vietnam Education" will be held on the morning of November 18 at the Hanoi Opera House and broadcast live on VTV2, Vietnam Television.
