365 days of connecting love, bringing singing to overcome the pain of the sick

Many eyes filled with tears as if they found sympathy on the journey to make the hospital their home. But in the end, the song brought everyone back to a peaceful space: "And my wings will never fear storms or heavy rain. There is no victory like overcoming yourself."

That is the musical space of "Melody of Love Connection" on a rainy afternoon in October. This is the sixth time, exactly one year, that Military Hospital 175 has implemented this program.

It can be said that the program is like a bridge that brings joy and comfort to patients so that they feel the hospital is closer to them.

Major General Tran Quoc Viet - Director of Military Hospital 175 - said that through each program, he feels more and more the connection and love of everyone.

There is not only a stage for simple music performances, but the music also brings love, sharing and somewhat soothes the pain and soothes the souls of the sick.

The stage became a place to honor and spread examples of perseverance and resilience in the face of illness. "The program has truly created great spiritual value, enriched the cultural life of the hospital, and contributed to the recovery process of patients," Mr. Viet shared.

Attending that day were singers Quoc Dai and Thanh Ngoc. But before that, singing for the patients were the voices of some staff, employees, and doctors at the hospital, making Ms. Le Thi Lieu (Go Vap District, Ho Chi Minh City) clap her hands continuously to each performance even though her hand was still attached to an IV.

She said that having a space to share and spread positivity like this program made her extremely excited. "The first time I heard Thanh Ngoc sing, it was also the first time I heard the song Da hon mot lan but I felt very deeply and felt those positive messages" - Ms. Lieu said.

Six times held in 365 days have marked the special journey of "Melody of Love Connection". As a commitment from the organizers, this meaningful program will continue in the future, sharing love with many lives, adding spiritual strength to help them fight against illness.

The lobby of the Orthopedic Trauma Institute of Military Hospital 175 (HCMC) was packed with people, their eyes on the small stage as if they were absorbed in every song with singer Thanh Ngoc.

In this special program, 250 gifts were given to patients being treated at the hospital. Of these, 30 special gifts (each worth 1.8 million VND including gifts and cash) were given to patients being treated in especially difficult circumstances.

And each female patient present at this special program was given flowers as a word of encouragement on the occasion of Vietnamese Women's Day October 20.
