All three stocks, APS of Asia-Pacific Securities Corporation, API of Asia-Pacific Investment Corporation and IDJ of IDJ Vietnam Investment Corporation, all hit the floor as investors rushed to sell. These are three stocks of the Apec "family" related to the stock manipulation case that was recently announced by the investigation agency to be prosecuted last weekend.
From the beginning to the end of the session, APS shares hit the floor to VND12,900 and when the market closed, the remaining sell orders were nearly 20 million units. Similarly, API shares dropped to VND11,400 and the sellers still had nearly 10.8 million units left. IDJ shares dropped to the full range to VND11,900 and the remaining sell orders were nearly 30.7 million units. The loss of liquidity occurred simultaneously in all three of these stocks with the remaining sell orders reaching more than 60 million units.
All 3 Apec "family" stocks were sold off by investors on June 26.
This is not a surprising development for investors because at the end of last Friday, the information about the prosecution of the stock manipulation case at these 3 companies was announced, the market had already closed. Until now, investors who own the codes APS, API or IDJ have had the opportunity to place sell orders. Despite the fact that all 3 companies have announced that they are not related entities, the above incident has absolutely no impact or change in the long-term orientations or normal operations of the company... investors are rushing to sell. However, as in the case of many previous stocks, the possibility of investors selling early is very low because there are almost no buyers.
In contrast to the situation of the 3 Apec stocks, many other stocks still increased, especially the blue-chip group. In which, the group of banking stocks led the increase such as ACB, HDB, TCB, VCB, VPB... This helped the VN-Index close the session with an additional 2.65 points to 1,132.03 points, but the HNX-Index decreased by 0.52 points to 231.01 points.
