3,000 soldiers join military parade to celebrate 70th anniversary of Dien Bien Phu Victory

(Dan Tri) - On the morning of April 4 at the National Military Training Center 4 (Hanoi), more than 3,000 soldiers from various units participated in joint training to serve the parade and march to celebrate the 70th anniversary of the Dien Bien Phu Victory.
On the morning of April 4, at the National Military Training Center 4 (Dong Tam Commune, My Duc District, Hanoi), the Ministry of National Defense and the Ministry of Public Security jointly directed the inspection of the joint training of armed forces participating in the parade to celebrate the 70th anniversary of Dien Bien Phu Victory (May 7, 1954 - May 7, 2024). General Phan Van Giang - Minister of National Defense - and General To Lam - Minister of Public Security - were present and co-chaired the inspection of the joint training session, encouraging the forces participating in the parade and march to celebrate the 70th anniversary of Dien Bien Phu Victory. The scale of the parade and marching force organization is over 3,219 soldiers, divided into 25 formations. The soldiers are selected from military regions, army corps, military branches, academies, schools... The inspection content includes: Inspection of joint training to perform contents related to the ceremonies, rituals and awards of the Party and State; parades and marches are undertaken by the Ministry of National Defense and the Ministry of Public Security; inspection of food and accommodation for the forces. From there, the units evaluate the results, draw experience from the training work, as a basis for the units to continue training the forces participating in the parade and marching in the 70th Anniversary of Dien Bien Phu Victory to achieve the highest results; excellently complete the assigned tasks. According to the parade plan, the first to enter the stage is the Party flag, the national flag symbolizing the ideals, belief in victory, the Party's leadership, the strength of the great national unity bloc, inspired by history, burning for today and shining for tomorrow.
Following right behind was the Command Vehicle leading the formation with Lieutenant General Nguyen Trong Binh, Deputy Chief of the General Staff of the Vietnam People's Army, representing the people's armed forces. Along with that was the Military Flag Vehicle with the flag of determination to fight and victory flying, sparkling with the noble medals awarded by the Party and State.
One by one, the groups entered the stage, such as: Female Military Band Group, Dien Bien Soldiers Group, Army Officers Group, Navy Officers Group, Air Defense - Air Force Officers Group, Border Guards Group... The Northwest Ethnic Minority Women's Militia Bloc followed. The Northwest Ethnic Minority Women's Militia made great contributions in terms of manpower and resources, together with the army and people of the whole country, to victory in the Dien Bien Phu Campaign, successfully ending the resistance war against the French colonialists. Lo Thien Ha (born in 1999, wearing the Red Dao costume, from Dien Bien) felt extremely honored and proud to be part of the parade of the Northwestern Ethnic Minority Women's Militia. Ha said that this is the 8th week that Ha and everyone have practiced and prepared very carefully for the official ceremony on May 7.
The Command Vehicle and the traditional Flag Car of the Police opened the way for the Vietnam People's Police to enter the stage. Leading the way was the command vehicle of Major General Le Van Ha, Deputy Commander of the Mobile Police. After 79 years of building, fighting and growing, the People's Public Security force has grown stronger, revolutionary, disciplined, elite and modern; achieved many glorious feats in the cause of protecting security and order; affirmed its position and role as a sharp "sword" protecting the people, the Party, the State and the socialist regime. Although newly established, the Cavalry Mobile Police has proactively overcome difficulties, strived, trained and quickly matured. The Cavalry Mobile Police has participated in and successfully completed many patrol and parade missions in cities, tourist attractions, important national events and international events. The appearance of the Cavalry Mobile Police has brought a sense of friendliness and peace, leaving many good impressions about the country, the Vietnamese people and the People's Public Security force in the people and international friends. Acknowledging and praising the determination and efforts of the forces participating in the parade, General Phan Van Giang and General To Lam agreed that although the training and joint training time was not much (about 1 month) in the harsh weather conditions of the changing seasons, the forces participating in the parade achieved encouraging results. At the end of the joint training inspection, the two Generals shook hands and encouraged the soldiers and forces participating in the parade.
The parade and march to celebrate the 70th anniversary of Dien Bien Phu Victory (May 7, 1954 - May 7, 2024) will be held on the morning of May 7, 2024, after the rally at Dien Bien Provincial Stadium, including 4 forces: Artillery force, Air Force flying salute, parade force, and force standing on the field with more than 12,000 people. The highlight of the parade and march is the participation of the artillery force including 18 105 howitzers and 12 helicopters flying over the stands of the Air Force. The program will start with 21 artillery rounds to the background of the Vietnamese National Anthem. This will be followed by a performance by 9 helicopters carrying the Party flag and the national flag flying over the stage. Next is the performance of the parade block (4 honor guard blocks, 24 army blocks, militia and self-defense forces, police) and the parade block (9 veteran blocks, youth volunteers, frontline workers, workers, farmers, intellectuals, youth, women, and ethnic groups of the Northwest) and finally the performance of the art block. source
