160 athletes hunt for HIO prize worth nearly 7 billion VND

At the press conference announcing the Tien Phong Golf Championship 2023 this morning (October 18), the representative of the organizing committee revealed that the hole in one (HIO) prize at holes 6, 14 and 17 is worth up to nearly 7 billion VND, including 3 SUVs from the sponsor.

Tien Phong Golf Championship 2023 takes place on November 4 at the Kings Course at BRG Kings' Island Golf Resort (Dong Mo, Son Tay, Hanoi). The tournament brings together 160 athletes participating in the male and female categories, both amateur and professional.

Golfers are divided into groups according to Handicap. The tournament consists of 5 groups (A, B, C for men, D for women and a young talent group with 4 flies for young golfers). Men use yellow tee, women use pink tee.

The organizers said they have sent invitations to outstanding Vietnamese athletes, including some who are currently in the country and have just returned from competing at the ASIAD; some who are training abroad. Le Khanh Hung, Nguyen Anh Minh... and some athletes in the Vietnamese golf team are expected to attend.

Through six seasons, the Tien Phong Golf Championship Organizing Committee has always tried to come up with new ideas for the following seasons. This year, in addition to the four traditional groups, there is also a Young Talent group, gathering amateur golfers under the age of 20.

This is what we aim for, to create a playground for talented young golfers. This year is very special as it celebrates the 70th anniversary of the founding of Tien Phong Newspaper, the 30th anniversary of the founding of the Vietnam Young Talent Support Fund and seven years, a lucky number, of organizing the Tien Phong Golf Championship" .

Tien Phong Golf Championship – For young talents is an activity in a series of activities to raise funds to support young Vietnamese talents. Notably, this year’s tournament takes place at the right time when Tien Phong newspaper is preparing to celebrate its 70th anniversary; 30th anniversary of the establishment of the Vietnam Young Talent Support Fund.
