(NLDO)- Hundreds of experts, engineers, and workers volunteered to be away from their families during Tet holidays to stay and "keep the fire burning" at Dung Quat Oil Refinery.
On the morning of January 29 (the first day of the Lunar New Year), the Board of Directors of Binh Son Refining and Petrochemical Joint Stock Company (BSR) directly inspected the production and business activities, encouraged and wished a happy new year to the workers on duty at Dung Quat Oil Refinery (NMLD) during the Lunar New Year 2025.
In a quick report to the BSR Board of Directors, Mr. Hoang Ngoc Nghia - Dung Quat Oil Refinery Shift Leader (the first shift in the new year of At Ty), said that to ensure the smooth operation of Dung Quat Oil Refinery, meeting the requirement of operating at more than 100% capacity during the Tet holiday of At Ty 2025, the entire factory has hundreds of experts, engineers and workers taking turns to continuously work and celebrate Tet at the refinery construction site. Among them, hundreds of workers from Nghe An, Thanh Hoa, Nam Dinh, Hanoi... have volunteered to stay for many years.
As planned, in the first days of the Year of the Snake, Dung Quat Oil Refinery will import two crude oil shipments and export products as usual to meet customer demand. Currently, the main technological workshops of the Plant are operating at optimal capacity. In addition, BSR also focuses on and ensures the personnel plan for production operations during Tet. BSR employees demonstrate high responsibility, are on duty in production, ready to respond to emergency situations, ensuring safe and continuous production.
BSR has also strengthened coordination with functional forces, improving inspection and supervision work in all areas, inside and outside the Factory as well as at sea. Control work at the Factory's entrances and exits is also strictly inspected to ensure the security and safety of the Factory.
At Viet Thanh Bay - where crude oil is imported for Dung Quat Oil Refinery during the Lunar New Year 2025, there are also dozens of engineers and workers working to transport crude oil from oil tankers to Dung Quat Oil Refinery.
Mr. Tran Thanh Hai (living in Nghe An) said that he has worked at Dung Quat Oil Refinery for more than 10 years and has volunteered to stay and work at the factory to celebrate Tet for many years. "During Tet, everyone wants to reunite with their families, but due to the nature of the factory's continuous operation, I have volunteered to stay and work at the factory to celebrate Tet for many years. Thanks to the factory's leaders' timely encouragement and thoughtful Tet preparations; relatives in my hometown also sent Chung cakes, spring rolls, fruits... so I have less homesickness," Mr. Hai confided.
After inspecting the on-duty work during the Lunar New Year, Mr. Bui Ngoc Duong - Chairman of BSR sent New Year wishes to all employees, especially those directly involved in production during the Lunar New Year. Mr. Duong praised the spirit of working regardless of holidays of engineers and employees to help BSR complete the tasks assigned by the Government and Petrovietnam to ensure energy security and ensure the supply of gasoline during the Lunar New Year.
Talking about the goals for the new year 2025, Mr. Nguyen Viet Thang - General Director of BSR, said that 2025 has a very special meaning, this is the year of many major events of the country and also the year ending the 5-year plan 2020-2025.
