According to preliminary statistics from the General Department of Customs, in 2024, the country will export over 29.68 million tons of cement and clinker, earning nearly 1.14 billion USD, down 5% in volume and 14.2% in value compared to 2023. Export prices will also decrease by 9.7%, reaching an average of 38.3 USD/ton.
In December 2024 alone, cement and clinker exports increased by 4.1% in volume and 3.9% in value compared to November 2024 but decreased by 0.2% in price, reaching nearly 2.27 million tons, equivalent to over 86.04 million USD, with an average price of 37.9 USD/ton; compared to December 2023, they decreased in volume, value and price by 11.6%, 13.2% and 1.8%, respectively.

In 2024, cement and clinker exports to the Philippines market will decrease by 0.6% in volume, 11% in value and 10.5% in price compared to 2023. The Philippines is the largest market consuming Vietnam's cement and clinker, accounting for 27% of the total volume and 28% of the total export turnover of cement and clinker of the whole country, reaching nearly 8.01 million tons, equivalent to 319.09 million USD, with an average price of 39.9 USD/ton.
Clinker cement exported to Bangladesh - the second largest market, reached 5.49 million tons, worth 175.13 million USD, average price 31.9 USD/ton (down 11.3% in volume, down 22% in turnover and down 12.2% in price); accounting for 18.5% of total volume and 15.4% of total turnover.
Next is the Taiwan market (China) accounting for 5.7% of the total volume and 5% of the total turnover, reaching 1.68 million tons, equivalent to 57.19 million USD, price 34 USD/ton (down 3% in volume, down 16.4% in turnover and down 13.8% in price).
