Watch dogs, cats, salamanders, ants, snakes compete... in beauty at the Pet Aquarium Festival

On June 1, at the Youth Cultural House (District 1), the opening ceremony of the Ho Chi Minh City Pet Fish Festival 2024 took place. The event attracted hundreds of people in the area, especially families with young children because the exhibition opening ceremony also coincided with International Children's Day.

The event's organizers are the Ornamental Fish Association, Pet Association and Reptile Association, under the Ho Chi Minh City Agricultural Industry Association.

Within the framework of the program, there are activities such as exhibitions of production models, trading of ornamental fish and pets with more than 30 large and small booths.

There are displays and sales of new and unique pets to the public such as snakes, pythons, imported frogs, salamanders, etc. or even an ant farm model.

In addition, the opening ceremony is also an opportunity to award prizes to units and artisans performing fish-related products in the 2024 Ornamental Fish Competition.

The 'bosses' compete in beauty on the catwalk

The highlight of this year's program is still the dog and cat fashion show, with the judges being famous breeders and pet beauty care experts in the region.

With the participation of 8 contestants who are "beauties" of dogs and cats, the decisive factor in winning is the unique costumes designed by the "pet owners".

In the end, dog number two with a design carrying an environmental message won first prize, second prize went to the design honoring Vietnamese bread, and third prize went to contestant number one's bird costume.

Unfortunately, this year's contest had no cat winners, the prizes for the "models" were a trophy and pet food provided by the sponsor.
