Hope Foundation and FPT Corporation have just started construction of a preschool for children in Son Hoa district.
Nguyen Xuan school, part of Son Nguyen kindergarten, Son Hoa district, started construction on June 16, including a standard classroom with a private bathroom. The total value of the project is about 1.2 billion VND, of which the Hope Fund and FPT Group sponsored nearly 1 billion VND. The remaining amount was matched by the locality. This is the third school started by the Hope Fund this year.

The Son Nguyen Kindergarten's satellite campus is located in Nguyen Xuan Commune, about 10 km from the center of Son Hoa District. The campus currently has a common classroom for both the older and younger kindergarten classes that was built more than 20 years ago and has reached the end of its useful life. The ceiling is infested with termites and is leaking. At the beginning of the school year, the school temporarily repaired it to avoid leaks and provide a place for the children to study. However, during the rainy season, the rotten wooden beams in the room can collapse at any time.
The school has 31 students, 11 of whom are Cham H'roi. Due to limited facilities, it can only accommodate 29 students. If renovated, the school can increase the number of students to 50.
Ms. Vo Thi Nguyet Thu, principal of Son Nguyen Kindergarten, shared that the school's biggest dream is a new, solidly built, safe school. "We want to create a happy school, where children can enjoy complete happiness and parents can feel secure when sending their children to school," Ms. Thu added.
According to Mr. Nguyen Dinh An, Vice Chairman of Son Hoa District People's Committee, the project will be effective, helping students and teachers have better learning and teaching conditions.
During the ceremony, the Hope Fund and school representatives awarded prizes to 10 students who participated in the painting contest about their dream school. The paintings carried the students’ wishes for a happy school, where they can study and play in peace.

Nguyen Xuan School was built with the cooperation of FPT Corporation's staff and is expected to be inaugurated in early September. This is a meaningful gift to the community on the occasion of FPT's 35th birthday, contributing to creating a happy future.
Mr. Vo Dang Phat, Director of Marketing and Communications of FPT, hopes that the school in Son Hoa district, Phu Yen province will be like the children's dreams through the paintings, always filled with joy when the children go to school.
This school is one of the projects under the "Light of Schools" program implemented by the Hope Fund since 2018. To date, 25 schools with 100 classrooms and boarding rooms have been newly built in Ha Giang, Lao Cai, Son La, Dien Bien, Lang Son, Quang Nam, Binh Phuoc... In addition, nearly 50 spacious toilets have been given to students in Van Ho district, Son La and Muong Nhe district, Dien Bien. 35 schools with 375 classrooms affected by floods in Le Thuy district, Quang Binh also received a new coat of paint before the school year.
