The provincial Youth Union at all levels has been creative and flexible in implementing many solutions, mobilizing all resources and the participation of the social community to build playgrounds for children in mountainous areas. From there, it has brought about spaces for play and entertainment, creating an environment for children to develop comprehensively.

Nhu Thanh district currently has over 16,000 young people. In recent times, the district’s youth union at all levels has paid attention to, promoted the mobilization and socialization of resources to invest in the construction, purchase and installation of entertainment, recreation and sports equipment for young people. From there, creating safe health training and entertainment spots for children.
Up to now, the district's youth union chapters have invested in building 25 new entertainment spots for young people, with a total value of more than 500 million VND from the mobilized sources of agencies, businesses, contributions from the youth union fund, teams, and fundraising activities of the youth union such as car washing, haircuts, etc. The playgrounds are equipped with toys to serve the entertainment needs of children such as slides, swings, climbing ladders, horizontal bars, parallel bars, etc. In addition, there are many tools and play equipment made by the youth union members themselves from recycled materials to ensure savings and safety. Along with that, to diversify the entertainment activities, Nhu Thanh District Youth Union has paid attention to organizing many activities for young people such as children's summer camps, opening life skills classes, soccer, badminton, table tennis, swimming classes, etc. These are practical activities that bring a lot of meaning to children in the district.
Xuan Phuc Commune is a bright spot in building playgrounds for children in Nhu Thanh district. Secretary of the commune's Youth Union, Truong Thi Nga, said: "In the past, the youth union members and young people in the commune have had many creative solutions and unique ideas to create playgrounds for children, such as organizing voluntary car wash activities to raise funds, going to auto and motorbike repair shops to ask for used car and motorbike tires to repaint to create playground fences, making funny animal shapes, and various toys to install in the playgrounds. At the same time, coordinating with the village front committees to mobilize people to participate in building playgrounds for young people in the village cultural house grounds... Up to now, the whole commune has built 5 playgrounds for children, with a total cost of 65 million VND, the capital mobilized from the people, plus working days directly participated by the youth union members. The playgrounds are fully equipped with equipment and toys such as swings, slides, etc., attracting a lot of children to play every early morning or afternoon.
Le Thi Anh Nguyet in Bai Con village shared: Since the playground for children was built at the village cultural house, my friends and I often come here to play every afternoon. There are many interesting and attractive games here that not only help me have fun and relax, but also help me exercise and improve my health.
Creating useful, safe and healthy playgrounds will contribute to creating conditions for all children to have the opportunity to be protected, cared for and educated comprehensively. Therefore, the Youth Union at all levels in Nhu Xuan district has paid special attention to this work. From 2022 to present, the Youth Union at all levels in the district has supported the construction of 27 playgrounds for young people with a total value of 400 million VND. This is a meaningful activity to help young people have a safe place to play.
Identifying the construction of playgrounds for young people as a meaningful activity, in 2019, the Standing Committee of the Provincial Youth Union and the Provincial Youth Union launched the movement "Building playgrounds for young people in cultural houses in villages and towns" throughout the province. The Provincial Youth Union also developed plans, provided guidance and assigned targets to the Standing Committees of the Youth Union - Youth Union Councils of districts, towns, cities and affiliated unions to implement. On that basis, in localities, especially in mountainous areas where playgrounds for children are still lacking, the Youth Union at all levels has proactively advised the Party Committees and authorities to allocate land funds, plan construction sites and repair activity and playgrounds in the area. At the same time, actively participate in mobilizing resources from businesses and people to build playgrounds and install playground equipment for children.
In addition, through peak campaigns such as Youth Month and Summer Volunteers, union members in localities have proactively arranged and spent time making tools and toys to enrich the playgrounds... Thanks to that, many playgrounds have been built in many mountainous districts in the province, gradually meeting the needs of children for entertainment.
Currently, the need for entertainment and recreation of children, especially in mountainous areas, is very large. Therefore, to create many truly safe, useful and healthy playgrounds for children, more attention and participation from all levels, sectors, localities, mass organizations and the people is needed.
