Tai Van commune meets new rural commune standards

After 14 years of implementing the National Target Program on New Rural Development and effectively implementing the National Target Program on Ethnic Policy , the rural appearance and people's lives in Tai Van commune have changed and transformed very positively. Notably, the rural infrastructure has been invested synchronously, with a complete rural traffic system, connecting from the commune to the hamlets, from the commune to the district center and other localities; schools, medical stations, and cultural houses have been upgraded and built spaciously; the rural electricity infrastructure system has been invested to ensure that 100% of households have regular access to electricity. Many effective production models have been gradually formed and replicated. All of these have created important premises to promote rural economic development, clearly showing that the material and spiritual life of the people is constantly improving, the average income per capita is more than 59 million VND/person/year, the multidimensional poverty rate is 3.73 % ...

Comrade Vuong Quoc Nam praised and highly appreciated the results that the Party Committee, government and people of Tai Van commune have achieved in building a commune that meets the standards of a new rural commune. Thereby, he suggested that in the coming time, Tai Van commune continue to focus on promoting the role of prestigious people, especially religious dignitaries and officials, in propaganda work, mobilizing people of all walks of life to effectively implement the targets and criteria of the National Target Program on New Rural Construction. Further promote propaganda work to unify awareness and change the thinking of cadres and people about building new rural areas in the right direction of "Ecological agriculture, modern rural areas, civilized farmers". Implement and integrate local movements, forming typical socio-economic development models. Maintain the commune meeting the standards of a new rural commune, strive to achieve the goal of a commune meeting the standards of an advanced new rural commune in the shortest time, and move towards building a model new rural commune in the following years.

The Provincial Party Committee, People's Council, People's Committee, and Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Soc Trang province presented the People's Committee of Tai Van commune with 100 million VND; Agribank Tran De presented 2 solidarity houses to the people of Tai Van commune; organizations and benefactors presented scholarships and bicycles to students in Tai Van commune.
