Female student brutally beaten case: Students from 2 high schools in Cu Chi identified as involved

On September 29, a report from Tan Thong Hoi High School (Cu Chi District, Ho Chi Minh City) said that two of the people involved in the fight in the clip circulating on social media were students from Tan Thong Hoi High School and Quang Trung High School (both located in Cu Chi District, Ho Chi Minh City).

Previously, according to the content of the clip spread on social media, a female victim was grabbed by the hair and repeatedly hit in the face by 3 other subjects. Although the victim repeatedly apologized, the 3 subjects continued to attack.

The climax of the assault was when one of the three attackers used a helmet to hit the victim multiple times on the head, while the other two pressed the victim down on the road and kicked him multiple times.

According to a report from Tan Thong Hoi High School, through student reports, the school initially verified a clip of students fighting that took place on August 30, 2024, outside the school grounds.

The cause of the fight was a previous conflict. One of the three people involved in the beating was TNYN, an 11th grader at Tan Thong Hoi High School. The group that beat the friend also included a student from Quang Trung High School (Cu Chi District).

The beaten victim was a female student at the Cu Chi District Continuing Education Center.

The school's report also said that the learning results of the 2023-2024 school year (grade 10) of TNYN were classified as satisfactory, and the training results were classified as good.

During her time at school, this female student had violated school rules such as being late for class and being absent without permission. The school had repeatedly reminded her and coordinated with her family to educate her.

Previously, this student had no other ethical violations or participation in school violence.

After discovering the incident spreading on social networks, the school verified it, invited students and their families to cooperate in clarifying the incident and made a preliminary report to the People's Committee of Tan Thong Hoi Commune (Cu Chi District), and at the same time sent school representatives to coordinate with Tan Thong Hoi Commune Police to investigate the incident.

After receiving an official conclusion from the competent authority, the school will educate and handle student violations according to regulations.
