Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh acknowledged and appreciated Ambassador Kohdayar Marri's efforts in promoting Vietnam-Pakistan cooperation since taking office, especially in the fields of culture, arts and religion, contributing to enhancing mutual understanding between the two countries.
The Prime Minister recalled the results achieved during his meeting with Pakistani Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif at the 8th Future Investment Initiative Conference in Saudi Arabia, stressing that Vietnam and Pakistan have great potential for cooperation that needs to be effectively exploited. He affirmed that promoting bilateral relations will contribute to peace, stability and cooperation between South Asia and Southeast Asia, as well as the entire Asia-Pacific and Indian Ocean regions.
Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh asked the Pakistani Ambassador to play an active role as a bridge between ministries, sectors, localities and businesses of the two countries, to promote delegation exchanges and soon restore bilateral cooperation mechanisms, first of all the Joint Trade Committee.
He also stressed the importance of strengthening economic, trade and investment cooperation, effectively exploiting the potential and strengths of the two countries, aiming for a bilateral trade turnover exceeding 1 billion USD. In addition, the two sides need to expand cooperation in the fields of culture, education - training, tourism and people-to-people exchange.
Pakistani Ambassador Kohdayar Marri expressed his honor to take on the responsibility in Vietnam and pledged to do his utmost to promote the traditional friendship between Vietnam and Pakistan to deepen and benefit each other.
The Ambassador said that many Pakistani businesses have shown more interest in the Vietnamese market. The Ambassador expressed his desire to promote connections between localities and businesses of the two countries and implement diverse forms of cooperation, promoting the image, culture, country, people, famous landscapes and heritages of one country in the other.
