On behalf of VFF, VFF President Tran Quoc Tuan received this award at the AFC Annual Awards 2023, held in Seoul (Korea). This is a worthy achievement in VFF's efforts to develop community youth football.
In the 2023-2024 operating year, in addition to improving the quality of professional football tournaments, VFF also always strives to stabilize and develop football tournaments in the national competition system, from the Women's National Championship, Women's National Cup, second and third divisions to youth tournaments U.21, U.19 (men, women), U.16 women, U.15, U.13, U.11, U.9, men's and women's futsal and beach soccer.

For the community football development project, especially the FIFA school football project, VFF has cooperated with the Ministry of Education and Training to deploy to 1,000 schools in 63 provinces and cities across the country. The FFAV community football project (a cooperation between VFF and the Norwegian Football Association) continues to expand its model to more than 15 provinces and cities across the country. In addition, VFF has completed the development of official teaching materials for children from U.6 to U.12 and supported the organization of grassroots football tournaments for children and students, increasing investment in the development of grassroots football.
Also at the AFC Annual Awards 2023, VFF was honored with the AFC Special Award for Youth Football and the AFC Special Award for Youth Football. Specifically, the FFAV project won the award for Best Youth Football Project in Asia. Mr. Nguyen Hoang Phuong, member of the VFF Youth Football Committee and Director of the FFAV project, also won the award for Best Youth Football Leader in Asia. For the AFC Special Award for Youth Football, the PVF Youth Football Training Center won the award for Youth Academy of the Year.

In addition, VFF also actively participates in social responsibility activities and commits to being an active member of the AFC Grassroots Football Charter, organizing activities in response to AFC Women's Football Day (March 8, 2023); Grassroots Football Day (May 15).
In addition, VFF is also one of the five Asian regional federations selected by UEFA to participate in the UEFA/AFC Project to support the development of women's football, including important contents such as women's football development strategy, youth football development, media and image development for women's football, clubs and national championships, national teams, human resources for women's football with the participation of relevant professional departments of VFF and partners.
With efforts to create a strong change for Vietnamese football starting from the grassroots level, VFF was honored to receive the AFC President's recognition award for grassroots football.
