On the afternoon of October 27, the People's Committee of Phuoc Gia commune (Hiep Duc district, Quang Nam) said that while checking the landslide situation before storm Tra Mi, the authorities discovered a crack 1m deep, 30m long, in the shape of an arc, 10m in radius on the top of the hill right in the middle of Na No residential area, with an estimated volume of rock and soil at risk of landslide of 100m3.

Authorities mobilized excavators to create ditches to divide water on the hilltop, preventing water from flowing down to the residential area's slope, avoiding landslides.

Immediately afterwards, the locality mobilized all police forces, commune militia, standing militia, youth union members, and women to mobilize and support the evacuation of all 30 households with 163 people in Na No residential area to a safe place to avoid the risk of landslides.

Currently, all residents have been evacuated to a safe place in the area of ​​Kpa ​​- Ko Long Primary School. The commune government has also arranged food, essential food, and cooked rice for the people.

At the same time, the locality mobilized vehicles and workers to dig ditches to divide water on the hilltop to prevent water from flowing down the slope of residential areas, avoiding landslides.
