All tickets for the 2024 AFF Cup final sold out online 30 minutes after resuming sales. Previously, the ticket sales portal had problems due to overload right after the scheduled opening at 8am. The ticket distribution channel via the app was reopened at around 11:30am.
"With the heat of the first leg of the ASEAN CUP 2024 final, OneU has recorded tens of millions of visits before the opening sale. Due to the limited capacity of Viet Tri Stadium, all online tickets were sold out after only 30 minutes of re-opening for sale," said the ticket distribution partner of the Vietnam Football Federation (VFF).

Unlike the semi-final, all tickets for the first leg of the 2024 AFF Cup final will be sold online. VFF and local match organizers will not sell tickets directly.
Immediately after the announcement of sold out tickets, the "black market" became bustling. In groups buying and reselling football tickets on social networks, there were announcements of buying large quantities of tickets at high prices.
Some accounts are selling 500,000 VND tickets for 2.5 million VND/pair, which is 2.5 times the original price. Tickets worth 1 million VND are being marked up to 3.5 times (7 million VND/pair). Some people are even selling VIP tickets (invitation tickets) at "unimaginable" prices of up to 30-40 million VND/pair.
The first leg of the 2024 AFF Cup final will take place at 8:00 p.m. on January 2 at Viet Tri Stadium (Phu Tho). This is the first time this venue has hosted a regional tournament final. The Vietnamese national team and youth teams have never lost when playing at Viet Tri Stadium.
