Arrest of the person who shot the commune police chief in Vinh Phuc

On December 6, the Investigation Police Agency of Song Lo District Police (Vinh Phuc) issued an emergency detention order for Nguyen Van Lap (born in 1985, residing in Dong Thinh Commune, Song Lo District) for resisting a person on duty.

Initial information, on the morning of December 5, Vinh Phuc Infrastructure Development Joint Stock Company - the investor of the Song Lo 2 Industrial Park Technical Infrastructure Construction and Construction Project - constructed a drainage canal.

This is the land area belonging to the Industrial Park in Dong Thinh Commune, which has been assigned land use rights by the People's Committee of Vinh Phuc Province to the project investor and the Management Board of Vinh Phuc Industrial Park has granted a construction permit.

During the construction process, Nguyen Van Lap's mother cursed, challenged, and destroyed the company's property.

After receiving the above incident, local authorities and Dong Thinh Commune Police arrived at the scene, propagated, mobilized and made a record of the incident.

At this time, Nguyen Van Lap brought a weapon and an object suspected to be a gun to the construction site. Then, Lap used an object suspected to be a gun to shoot at the police force, injuring Major Nghiem Xuan Thanh, Chief of Dong Thinh Commune Police, in the arm. After that, Lap went back to his private home in Yen Tinh village, Dong Thinh commune.

After the incident, the Board of Directors of Vinh Phuc Province Police Department directed the Criminal Police Department, the Mobile Police Department to coordinate with Song Lo District Police to organize an arrest.

At 6:00 p.m. the same day, the authorities arrested Nguyen Van Lap, confiscating a gun and several other items.

Song Lo District Police, Vinh Phuc Province are consolidating the case file to handle it according to the law.
