Literature and art go hand in hand with the country

After the Liberation of the South and National Reunification Day (April 30, 1975), Vinh Phuc literature and art quickly shifted from wartime to peacetime activities, continuing to carry out the mission of creating valuable works to serve the Fatherland and the people. With their talent and endless creativity, the team of writers and artists have delved into reality, reflecting all aspects of social life, worthy of being soldiers on the cultural and ideological front.

Over the past 50 years, Vinh Phuc Culture and Arts has accompanied the country's development. Implementing Resolution 23 of the 10th Politburo, the Provincial Party Committee issued an action program on continuing to build and develop culture and arts in the new period, creating new momentum for the development of culture and arts in the province, affirming the role and position of culture and arts in the cause of building and developing the country.

Resolution 23 of the Politburo affirms: “Culture and arts are very important and especially delicate fields of culture; they are essential needs, expressing people's aspirations for truth, goodness and beauty; they are one of the great driving forces directly contributing to building the spiritual foundation of society and the comprehensive development of Vietnamese people”.

Over the years, the province has always paid special attention to the cause of building and developing culture and arts; strengthened leadership and direction in implementing policies on developing culture and arts; encouraged writers and artists to create valuable works of art to serve the cultural and spiritual enjoyment needs of the people.

The Provincial Literature and Arts Association is a common home for solidarity and gathering of members. Currently, the Association has 187 members, operating in 6 specialized branches: Prose, poetry, criticism theory - folk literature, music - theater, fine arts and photography.

Creative activities of literature and art are increasingly vibrant, rich in content, and diverse in forms of expression. Writers and artists have created many quality literary and art works praising the Party, beloved Uncle Ho, praising the love for the homeland and country; encouraging and motivating people in labor production, studying and following the example of Ho Chi Minh's ideology, morality and style, participating in the movement to build new rural areas, civilized urban areas, protecting the sovereignty of the sea, islands, and borders of the Fatherland, and the land and people of Vinh Phuc.

By organizing compositions by major and topic, promoting the responsibility and creative personality of members, in the past 5 years, the whole province has had hundreds of books in the genres of short stories, novels, literary criticism, folk literature, etc. published by members.

Every year, Vinh Phuc has 20-25 literary and artistic works winning awards at regional, national and international literary and artistic competitions, including many authors with outstanding achievements such as Hai Thanh, Ngoc Tung, Minh Anh, Hoang Cuc (Poetry, prose); Vu Hai (photography); Hoang Truc (fine arts); Ngo Duy Dong (music)... Many works create a strong impression in the hearts of readers and audiences.

There have been many efforts in research, theory and criticism of literature and arts, contributing to discovering and affirming the good and the beautiful, and fighting and criticizing deviant and wrong trends in life. In addition, hundreds of songs, works of art and photography, stage plays, and television dramas have been composed, exhibited and promoted, serving the socio-economic development goals of the province and contributing to the country's literature and arts.

Vinh Phuc Literature and Arts Magazine - the mouthpiece of the provincial Literature and Arts Association is constantly being innovated in content and form, gradually meeting the needs of readers.

The magazine has actively contributed to propagating and disseminating the Party's viewpoints and guidelines on cultural and artistic development; introducing and promoting the works of its members; at the same time, nurturing the creative force of literature and art, and guiding the public's creativity and aesthetic tastes.

Through literary and artistic works, Vinh Phuc artists not only actively participate in building a spiritual and cultural life for society but also contribute significantly to strengthening people's trust in the Party's leadership, promoting people's initiative and creativity in the cause of building and defending the homeland and country.

Literature and art have a deep approach to reality, both praising and encouraging new factors and criticizing the negative aspects of society, especially the degradation of ideology, morality and lifestyle; protecting justice, dignity, human rights and good cultural values ​​of the nation.

Building and developing culture and arts in the new period, the province continues to implement tasks and solutions to create conditions for culture and arts to promote their role and mission in building and developing culture and people to meet the requirements of sustainable national development.
