In 2023, the Lao Cai Provincial Children's Fund received enthusiastic attention and support from domestic and international agencies, units, individuals and organizations with a total mobilized resource of nearly 1.3 billion VND, of which the converted value of objects into money was 973 million VND. From the above mobilized resources, the Provincial Children's Fund organized many practical activities to support children in special circumstances, thereby contributing to encouraging and reducing difficulties for them.
The Lao Cai Provincial Children's Support Fund has organized many practical activities to support children in special circumstances such as: Supporting 22 children to receive examination and surgery for facial deformities; 534 children benefited from the "Happy Noodle Package" program; 230 children received bicycles from the "Helping Children Go to School" Program; 200 children were provided with school supplies; more than 1,200 children were supported with nutritional milk; 264 children in especially difficult circumstances who achieved high academic achievements received gifts and scholarships; 42 gifts for children with serious illnesses and long-term illnesses at public health facilities; supporting 3 locations in difficult areas and the Provincial Social Work Center organized the Mid-Autumn Festival for children...
However, according to preliminary statistics, there are currently 1,567 orphans and 1,316 disabled children in the province, of which 258 children are in especially difficult circumstances but are not yet eligible for social protection policies, and thousands of poor children in the highlands still lack warm winter clothes, and many other children are at risk of falling into especially difficult circumstances...
