Drinking the same bottle of "strange" soft drink, 4 students got poisoned

On February 23, Mr. Ha Van Hoan, Secretary of the Party Committee of Bao La commune, Mai Chau district (Hoa Binh) said that a poisoning incident had just occurred in the area, causing 4 students of Bao La commune Primary and Secondary School to be hospitalized for emergency treatment.

The leader added that at noon on February 22, these 4 students (studying in grades 4 and 5), after drinking a bottle of soft drink, unknown brand, bought in front of the school gate, had stomachaches and vomited...

That same afternoon, the children were taken to Mai Chau District General Hospital by their families for emergency treatment. Due to severe poisoning, the children were then transferred to Hoa Binh Provincial General Hospital for treatment.

After receiving timely emergency care, one student was discharged from the hospital to go home. The remaining three students with more severe poisoning are being treated and are now out of danger.

The leader of the Mai Chau District Department of Education and Training said that the Department has directed the school's Board of Directors to inspect and report the incident. At the same time, the school was directed to urgently visit and encourage the students and their families.

After the incident, Bao La Commune Police and Mai Chau District authorities went to the stall where the incident occurred, collected samples to verify and clarify the cause.
