A long line of cars lined up from the intersection of DT765 and Highway 1, stretching about 3km to the Phan Thiet - Dau Giay Expressway. Many drivers tried to drive in the right lane but were also stuck.

Lieutenant Colonel Hoang Xuan An, Captain of Highway Patrol Team No. 6 (Traffic Police Department, Ministry of Public Security) said that the Team has mobilized maximum force and coordinated with Dong Nai Province Traffic Police to flexibly open and close the highway to clear congestion on the Phan Thiet - Dau Giay highway.

The main reason is that at Km 94 there is a 2-lane toll station that creates a “bottleneck” causing traffic congestion for kilometers. Traffic police have to direct vehicles from a distance to move along National Highway 1 to Ho Chi Minh City.

On the same afternoon, also on this highway at the intersection with Highway 720 (Ham Tan District, Binh Thuan), the slow-moving line of cars stretched for kilometers. Traffic police were also present to regulate vehicles moving through the exit of Highway 720 to go to Highway 1 to Ho Chi Minh City.
