District 3 People's Committee announces personnel after reorganization

(NLDO) - District 3 reduced 2 specialized agencies under the District People's Committee after the reorganization, from 12 to 10. The leadership staff of specialized departments was also improved.


On the afternoon of February 28, District 3 People's Committee held a conference to announce the decision of Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee on establishing departments under District 3 People's Committee.

At the conference, District 3 announced the establishment of the Department of Internal Affairs; Department of Economics, Infrastructure and Urban Areas; Department of Culture, Science and Information. At the same time, the Department of Natural Resources and Environment; Department of Health; Department of Education and Training; Office of the People's Committee of District 3 was reorganized.

Previously, the Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee issued Decision 645 dated February 18, 2025 approving the overall project to reorganize the administrative apparatus, specialized agencies, and public service units under the Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee, Thu Duc City People's Committee, and districts.

Thus, before the arrangement, District 3 People's Committee had 12 specialized agencies. After the arrangement, District 3 People's Committee has 10 specialized departments including Department of Internal Affairs; Department of Justice; Department of Finance - Planning; District Inspectorate; People's Committee Office; Department of Economy, Infrastructure and Urban Areas; Department of Culture, Science and Information; Department of Natural Resources and Environment, Department of Health; Department of Education and Training.

At the conference, District 3 People's Committee also announced decisions to appoint leadership and management personnel at 7 specialized agencies.

The leadership personnel at the 7 newly established and reorganized specialized agencies are as follows: Mr. Le Minh Dat as Head of the Department of Internal Affairs; Mr. Le Thanh Quoc as Head of the Department of Economics, Infrastructure and Urban Areas; Mr. Tran Nguyen Phong as Head of the Department of Culture, Science and Information; Mr. Do Minh Long as Head of the Department of Natural Resources and Environment; Ms. Huynh Thi Lam Tuyen as Head of the Department of Health; Mr. Pham Dang Khoa as Head of the Department of Education and Training; Ms. Hua Thi My Huong as Acting Chief of Office of the People's Committee of District 3.

Speaking at the conference, District 3 Party Secretary Nguyen Thanh Xuan said that the apparatus will officially operate under the new mechanism on March 1.

"This is one of the very important contents, associated with the work of Party building, government building and building a clean and strong political system so that we can continue to carry out our tasks in the coming period" - Secretary of District 3 Party Committee emphasized.

In addition to the work of disseminating and directing the implementation, in the process of performing the tasks, the Secretary of the District 3 Party Committee requested to adhere to 3 important principles. These are strictness, caution and ensuring compliance with regulations.
