TPO – Hundreds of youth union members of Hung Yen province coordinated with military forces, police, and local authorities to brave the rain and floodwaters with people on river dykes and in deeply flooded areas to ensure the safety of people's lives and property.
Participating in the work of overcoming the consequences of storm No. 3 and preventing floods, Hung Yen Provincial Youth Union has deployed many volunteer youth teams in districts/towns/cities in the area with hundreds of members participating. Coordinated with local forces to harvest agricultural products and vegetables, reducing damage to help farmers. |
Flower and agricultural gardens are mainly located on the banks of the dike, along the river, and in many specialized areas, the water level is 20-40cm. |
Hung Yen Youth Union members and functional forces went to flooded areas to support local authorities in mobilizing and evacuating people to safe areas. |
Many buffaloes and cows were also supported by the union members to move to dry places to minimize damage. |
In addition, young people in Hung Yen province actively participated in packing sand and soil and transporting them to vulnerable dyke areas to reinforce and build banks to prevent water from flooding residential areas. |

Hung Yen Provincial Youth Union also established 2 working groups to visit and give drinking water and essential necessities to people in evacuation areas, and support volunteer teams in the districts of Van Giang, Khoai Chau, Kim Dong, Phu Cu, Tien Lu, My Hao, etc. |
Necessary supplies and drinking water are transported by volunteers to temporary shelter areas, and volunteer teams provide timely support to people. |
Before storm No. 3 dissipated, Hung Yen Provincial Youth Union deployed forces to rescue agricultural products and connect and support farmers in consuming agricultural products, including bananas and grapefruits in some areas. |
Ms. Vu Hong Luyen - Secretary of Hung Yen Provincial Youth Union said, promoting the spirit of pioneering, Hung Yen youth have deployed many youth volunteer teams with the participation of nearly 1,000 union members and young people.
Teams in districts/towns/cities, along with armed forces, army, police and local authorities, "brave themselves in the rain" day and night, racing against the rain and floods to promptly support people in flooded areas to evacuate to safe temporary shelters. At the same time, they support people in harvesting agricultural products, crops, moving assets and livestock to minimize damage to people.
