On February 21, Dak Lak Department of Education and Training held a conference to review semester I and deploy key tasks for semester II, school year 2024-2025.

In the 2024-2025 school year, the province will have 1,012 schools with 15,681 classes and groups of classes, 505,494 students and trainees; 01 provincial Continuing Education Center and 15 district-level Vocational Education - Continuing Education Centers, 01 Pedagogical College. The total number of managers, teachers and staff in the sector is more than 35,000 people.
In the first semester, the whole sector proactively directed and organized the implementation of the plan and key tasks of the school year; ensured quality goals, completed the set programs and plans. By the end of 2024, the whole province had 87.3% of solid classrooms; 62.10% of schools met national standards, exceeding the set plan.
Deputy Director of the Department of Education and Training Do Tuong Hiep informed the results of the first semester at the conference.
In addition, the Education and Training sector has effectively implemented the 2018 General Education Program according to the roadmap; organized the compilation, appraisal and implementation of local education contents; selected textbooks at all levels according to regulations; organized well the emulation movement "Innovation and creativity in management, teaching and learning"... The quality of education at all levels has been improved and enhanced, especially, at the National High School Excellence Competition for the 2024-2025 school year, Dak Lak province had 72 students winning prizes, an increase of 12 prizes compared to the 2023-2024 school year.
In addition to the achieved results, teaching and learning in the past time still has some limitations and difficulties such as: facilities and basic teaching equipment meet the minimum requirements for the teaching program but are still lacking, not meeting the requirements for improving the quality of education as well as the implementation of the 2018 General Education Program; there is still a shortage of teachers, especially preschool and primary school teachers, a shortage of English and Informatics teachers at the primary level and teachers of subjects according to the 2018 General Education Program; local surplus and shortage of teachers between subjects...

Promoting the achieved results, in the second semester of the 2024-2025 school year, the provincial Department of Education and Training will continue to be proactive and flexible in implementing the proposed programs and plans; improve the quality of teachers and educational managers at all levels; strengthen facilities and teaching equipment to ensure educational activities; increase the proportion of solid classrooms, promote the construction of national standard kindergartens and general schools, and at the same time prioritize investment in facilities and teaching equipment for educational institutions in remote, isolated and extremely disadvantaged areas; synchronously implement solutions to improve the quality of mass education at all levels of general education, reduce the dropout rate; maintain and improve the quality of key education; continue to promote the application of information technology and digital transformation in education and training; continue to promote communication work on education and training; Promote the emulation movement "Innovation and creativity in management, teaching and learning" and other emulation movements to ensure practicality and effectiveness...

Speaking at the conference, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Nguyen Thien Van requested the entire Education and Training sector to continue promoting the achieved results to effectively implement the tasks and solutions set out in the 2024-2025 school year.
