Mr. Mui Van Ky, Secretary of Pac Nga Commune Youth Union, said: Responding to the movement "Joining hands to eliminate temporary and dilapidated houses", the Commune Youth Union established 8 volunteer groups, with more than 20 members and young people led by the Secretary of the Village Youth Union to participate in supporting the demolition of dilapidated houses; transporting materials, supporting construction days, cleaning up and creating the surrounding landscape. Since the beginning of the year, the Commune Youth Union has mobilized hundreds of members and young people to participate in supporting the construction of 5 houses for households in difficult circumstances in the commune.
Actively participating in building houses for people in the commune, union member Lo Van Hai, Lum Thuong B village, Pac Nga commune, shared: As union members and young people, we actively support the demolition of old houses, transporting materials, installing house foundations, roofing... contributing to speeding up construction progress, saving costs for families, so that they can soon stabilize their lives.
In Hang Dong commune, the commune's youth union members are also actively contributing to the local government to build new houses for people with difficult housing circumstances. Mr. Thao A Lo, Secretary of the commune's Youth Union, said: The commune's Youth Union Executive Committee has organized propaganda activities, mobilizing union members, youth and people to participate in supporting working days to build houses for households with difficult circumstances. Up to now, with the joint efforts of union members, youth and local authorities, 4/4 houses have been handed over, including 3 wooden houses and 1 iron-frame house, helping households to soon stabilize their housing and work with peace of mind.
Responding to the movement "Join hands to eliminate temporary and dilapidated houses", Bac Yen District Youth Union has established 16 volunteer teams, with 320 members and young people participating, actively propagating and mobilizing people to respond to the program; supporting working days to dismantle old houses, move furniture and construction materials; mobilizing resources to support funding for house repair and construction, giving gifts and household items to disadvantaged households.
Ms. Hoang Thi Hue, Secretary of the District Youth Union, said: This is an important activity in social security work for people in difficult circumstances. The Bac Yen District Youth Union has integrated it into major programs of the Union, such as Youth Month, Summer Youth Volunteer Campaign, Spring Volunteer Campaign, etc. Since the beginning of the year, more than 180 union members and young people in the district have been mobilized to participate in supporting the construction and repair of 18 houses in the communes of Chieng Sai, Hong Ngai, Ta Xua, Muong Khoa, Hang Dong, Pac Nga and Song Pe.
Up to this point, Bac Yen district has eliminated 111/161 temporary houses, the remaining 50 are under construction, expected to be completed before April 20. Bac Yen youth will continue to promote the spirit of initiative, volunteerism, and creativity in mobilizing social resources, helping households in difficult circumstances to build houses... contributing to creating motivation for families to rise out of poverty and stabilize their lives.
