Complying with sustainable development standards, Prudential honored in Top 100 CSI 2023

Complying with ESG (E-Environment, S-Social, G-Governance) sustainable development standards not only approaches responsible business, but also applies technological advances, fulfills community responsibilities, and builds a safe and progressive working environment for employees.

Prudential Vietnam Life Insurance Company was honored by the CSI 2023 Program as one of the Top 100 Sustainable Enterprises held in Hanoi on the evening of December 13. The Ceremony to Announce Sustainable Enterprises in Vietnam in 2023 organized by the Vietnam Federation of Commerce and Industry (VCCI) and the Vietnam Business Council for Sustainable Development (VBCSD-VCCI) took place in Hanoi. Politburo member and Head of the Central Economic Commission Tran Tuan Anh attended and spoke at the Ceremony. According to the Organizing Committee, this year's Program to Evaluate and Announce Sustainable Enterprises in Vietnam (CSI) has many innovations, especially the Corporate Sustainability Index (CSI) - a tool to assess the level of sustainable development of enterprises participating in the Program has been improved; the evaluation and appraisal process is more scientific, transparent, and rigorous; contributing to affirming that the Top 100 Enterprises honored at the CSI 2023 Announcement Ceremony have been evaluated, appraised, and considered very carefully and transparently.

As a model enterprise in the industry, Prudential has promoted the role of a responsible enterprise through practical ESG sustainable development initiatives. In recent times, Prudential has quickly caught up with the global ESG trend with long-term projects, helping to solve social problems, typically Prudential's contributions to the Fair Energy Transition Partnership (JETP), aiming for the Net Zero goal. Accordingly, Prudential's investment categories are considered to shift towards green investment, demonstrating a responsible business approach. One of the criteria for evaluating sustainable development is to demonstrate the responsibility and cooperation of enterprises in solving social problems. Accordingly, during 24 years of development in Vietnam, Prudential has always prioritized investment in sustainable-oriented social responsibility activities. Prudential's key long-term projects focus on three main pillars: Education, Safety and Healthy Living. Some typical activities that Prudential has implemented include the project to equip primary school students with skills and knowledge about traffic safety called "Going to School Safely" and Cha-Ching Smart Financial Management Education. Another important criterion that Prudential is highly appreciated for in terms of governance is the building of a culture and a safe and progressive working environment. Accordingly, Prudential develops a diverse and comprehensive working environment. In its efforts to pursue a sustainable development strategy, in addition to prestigious domestic awards, Prudential has also been recognized by many organizations in the region.
