With enthusiasm and a desire to contribute, all new recruits were excited to cross the bridge of glory, determined to fulfill their civic duty, contributing to upholding the traditions of their homeland and country.

On the morning of February 13, localities across the province simultaneously held the 2025 military enlistment ceremony. The festival of young people leaving for the army took place solemnly, excitedly and proudly. Leaders of Military Region 5, provincial leaders, localities and a large number of people came to encourage and congratulate the new recruits on their journey to defend the Fatherland.

* In Son Tinh district, from early morning, the roads leading to the district square - the military recruitment point for 2025 - were brightly decorated with flags and flowers, and filled with music urging people to join the army.

In the 2025 military recruitment period, Son Tinh district was assigned the target of selecting and calling 234 young men to join the army; of which 210 new recruits will perform their duties in military units, and 24 new recruits will perform their duties in the People's Public Security.

From early morning, the new recruits had gathered in front of the grandstand. The young men were solemn in their neat, new uniforms that still smelled of fabric. The excitement and pride were clearly shown on the faces, eyes, and smiles of the new recruits. Everyone showed their determination and eagerness to wait for the moment to cross the bridge of glory to return to their units to fulfill the sacred duty of youth to the Fatherland.

Moved by the moment of leaving for military service, new recruit Duong Quoc Hao from Tinh Ha town expressed his pride at wearing the green uniform of Uncle Ho's army, following in the footsteps of his fathers and brothers, contributing to the cause of building and defending the Fatherland.

“Defending the Fatherland is the responsibility and sacred duty of every citizen towards the country. Therefore, I feel very honored and proud to join the army this time. I believe that being trained in the military environment will help me and the new recruits become more mature, more independent, have stronger political will, promote the good nature of "Uncle Ho's soldiers", worthy of the tradition of the heroic homeland of Son Tinh", new recruit Duong Quoc Hao shared before departure.

Mixed with the excitement and pride of the outstanding young men leaving for military service is the reluctance of families and friends when saying goodbye to their loved ones who are leaving to fulfill their duty to the Fatherland.

Adjusting his son's uniform before leaving for military service, Mr. Bui Thanh Son, from Tinh Hiep commune, said, "Seeing my son walking with his comrades, I feel very confident because the new environment will train him to be disciplined and self-aware so that when he returns to his family, he will be more steadfast in life."

"The family is very honored and proud that our son is one of 234 outstanding young men from Son Tinh district joining the army this time. I hope that in the military environment, he will continue to strive and train to become more mature, contributing to building the homeland," Mr. Son shared.

Speaking at the military enlistment ceremony, Chairman of Son Tinh District People's Committee Pham Xuan Vinh praised the 234 young men who joined the army this time. The Party Committee, government and people of Son Tinh District hope and believe that all the young men who joined the army today will uphold the glorious tradition of their homeland; strive to overcome difficulties, train hard, quickly adapt to the new environment, and strive to complete their tasks well.

Congratulating and encouraging the new recruits, Provincial Party Secretary and Provincial People's Council Chairwoman Bui Thi Quynh Van hoped that the new recruits would strive to practice and perform well in their training at their units and complete their tasks during their time in the army; and strive to successfully complete the tasks assigned by the Party, State and people.

New recruit Nguyen Quoc Viet in Nghia Lo ward shared excitedly, I feel very proud to officially join the ranks of soldiers, contributing my strength to the Fatherland. The upcoming days in the army will be an opportunity for me to train myself and have the most memorable memories of my life. I will try my best to fulfill my duty well.

This year, the work of selecting and calling young people to join the army has received focused leadership and close direction from Party committees, authorities, and Military Service Councils at all levels, and has been well implemented in all steps of the process.

Thanks to that, the quality of young people joining the army in the city has been significantly improved. The new recruits were assigned to 7 units, including: Division 320 (Corps 34); General Staff of Military Region 5, Logistics and Engineering Department (Military Region 5); Electronic Warfare Brigade (General Staff), Provincial Military Command, Provincial Police, Provincial Border Guard Command.

Chairman of Quang Ngai City People's Committee Tra Thanh Danh told the new recruits that the Party, the State and the people really need the dedication of the youth. This year, Ba To district assigned 140 soldiers to the following units: 48th Mechanized Infantry Regiment, 320th Division, 34th Corps; Provincial Military Command and Provincial Police. Of these, 42 young men volunteered to join the army. All young men who joined the army this time met the requirements in terms of political qualifications, cultural level, moral qualities, and good health.

The new recruits are all excited and proud to set out to fulfill their sacred duty to the Fatherland. The strict military discipline will help young people cultivate moral lifestyles, unite and help each other to complete their assigned tasks well.

New recruit Pham Van Thien, from Ba Dien commune, shared, with the spirit of youthful enthusiasm, I see that participating in military service is not only a responsibility but also an honor and pride for myself and my family. Promoting the revolutionary tradition of my family and my heroic hometown of Ba To, I will uphold the spirit of responsibility, determination to study and train to complete the assigned tasks well.

As for the new recruit Pham Tien Sy, from Ba To town, he confided that being able to go on a mission to protect the Fatherland is a great honor for him and his family. He knows that in the army we have to go through many difficulties and hardships in training, but this is a good environment for us to train ourselves. In the army, we will strive to train to complete the assigned tasks well.

At exactly 7:40 a.m., the military handover of Ba To district was completed as planned. The young men of Ba To put on their military uniforms, crossed the bridge of glory with the promise of determination to complete all assigned tasks, continuing the tradition of previous generations, of the heroic homeland of Ba To.

The military handover ceremony of Mo Duc district took place at the yard of the Memorial House of Heroic Vietnamese Mothers. In 2025, Mo Duc district will have 277 young people who meet the health and moral standards to prepare to leave for the task of protecting the Fatherland. Of these, 63 young people have university, college, and intermediate degrees; there are 4 young party members.

Young man Nguyen Duc Thanh, from Duc Phu commune, expressed his joy and excitement when joining the youth of the whole country to carry out the sacred and noble mission assigned by the Party, the State and the people. “I feel honored, proud and responsible to be in the ranks of the people's army. I promise to carry out Uncle Ho's teaching: "Wherever there is a need, there will be youth, wherever there is difficulty, there will be youth", always have a strong will, strive to study, train, and strive to excellently complete the assigned tasks", Nguyen Duc Thanh shared.

This time, many young people living with their families in other provinces and cities have returned to their hometowns to join the army. Young man Nguyen Hoang Quoc is from Duc Phu commune, born and raised in Binh Tan district (Ho Chi Minh City). Quoc's family has lived in Ho Chi Minh City for many years. "When I received the order for a medical examination, I returned to my hometown to undergo the medical examination. When I heard that I was qualified for military service, I felt happy and honored because I was in good health and qualified. In the military environment, I will try to train and study to become the best version of myself," said Nguyen Hoang Quoc.

The young men of Mo Duc district were assigned to the following units: Brigade 96; Provincial Border Guard Command, Provincial Police; BB95 Regiment - BB2 Division (Military Region 5); Logistics Department (Military Region 5); Provincial Military Command. According to the assessment, the quality of examination and selection of citizens for military service in communes and towns in Mo Duc district was higher than last year.

* In a joyful and excited atmosphere, together with other localities in the province, on the morning of February 13, Son Ha district held a ceremony to hand over and receive soldiers in 2024, sending off 163 young men to join the army .

Attending the ceremony were Head of the Provincial Party Committee's Internal Affairs Committee Luong Kim Son; Director of the Department of Labor, Invalids and Social Affairs Nguyen Thi Anh Lan; and leaders of the Provincial Police and the Provincial Military Command.

From early morning, hundreds of relatives of the new soldiers from all the mountainous communes of Son Ha district gathered at the district stadium to see off the young men on their way to defend the Fatherland. In their new uniforms, the new soldiers were cheerful, excited, and eager to join the army.

Coming to see her husband off to join the army, Ms. Dinh Thi Thu Kieu, wife of new soldier Dinh Van Ty, in Son Ky commune, confided, “My husband and I just got married before the Lunar New Year of At Ty 2025. I was also sad to be apart, but I always encouraged him to study hard and train hard to contribute to the country when he joins the army. I will take his place at home to take care of his parents, helping him feel secure in fulfilling his sacred duty as a soldier.”

This year, Son Ha district was assigned the target of calling 163 citizens to join the army and perform the duty of the people's police. Of these, there are 145 NVQS targets and 18 targets for performing the duty of the people's police. The new recruits will be assigned to 2 units: the 320th Mechanized Infantry Division and the Provincial Police. All new recruits must meet the standards of political quality, cultural level, and health to go on duty to protect the Fatherland.

From early morning, new recruits wearing neat military uniforms were present at the handover point, eagerly preparing to join the army. New recruit Nguyen Tai Bang (23 years old), from Vinh Tra village, Binh Thanh commune, just graduated from university and is a party member, wrote a voluntary application to join the army.

“My father used to be in the army, protecting the Fatherland, so after graduating from university, I also followed the family tradition and volunteered to join the army. I am very honored and proud to be in the army. I will try my best to quickly integrate into the new environment and actively train, completing all tasks excellently,” Bang shared.

Binh Son District Party Secretary Nguyen Tuong Duy said that in recent times, the Party Committee, the government, departments, branches and organizations in the district have focused on leading and directing the urgent, serious and strict implementation of the examination and recruitment of citizens for military service. The District Military Service Council has selected 412 young men, including 6 reserve young men (ensuring 100% of the target) who meet the standards of political qualities, ethics, cultural level and health, to join the army in 2025.

At the military handover ceremony, the delegates presented flowers and encouraged the soldiers to have a safe journey and fulfill their duties as soldiers. They strive to become excellent soldiers, worthy of the title “Uncle Ho’s soldiers”. At the same time, they hoped that after completing their service, the young men would return to their hometowns to be the core force contributing to the development of their homeland.

After crossing the bridge of glory and waving goodbye to their relatives, 406 young men from Binh Son district excitedly got on the bus and began their military service in 6 units: Naval Region 4, Infantry Division 307, Military Region 5 General Staff, Provincial Military Command, Provincial Border Guard Command and Provincial Police. The quality of young men this year was quite even. There were 59 young men who voluntarily applied for military service, of which 4 were party members.

* In Minh Long district, Head of the Provincial Party Committee's Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Department Vo Thanh An and Secretary of Minh Long District Party Committee Nguyen Manh Thai attended the military handover ceremony, presented flowers and encouraged new recruits to join the army.

This year, Minh Long district was assigned 67 quotas, including 6 reserve youths. At the military handover ceremony, the locality officially handed over 61 youths to the following units: Regiment 48, Division 320, Corps 34; Provincial Military Command; Provincial Police.

Ms. Dinh Thi Sa (44 years old), in Dien Son village, Long Son commune (Minh Long) was excited, I am very honored and proud that both my twin sons Tran Dinh Thang and Tran Dinh Thach volunteered to join the army to fulfill their sacred duty to the Fatherland.

According to the Commander of the Long Son Commune Military Command, Dinh Van Thoa, both of Sa's sons are the main breadwinners of the family. After graduating from high school, they worked as workers in the VSIP Quang Ngai Industrial Park.

His family had a revolutionary tradition, so when the locality promoted the Military Service Law, Thang was ready to join. Seeing his brother's enthusiasm for military service, Tran Dinh Thach volunteered to join as well.

Speaking at the military handover ceremony, Chairman of Minh Long District People's Committee Dinh Van Diet emphasized that in both war and peace, Minh Long district youth have always been the shock force, leading the fronts, and have made great contributions to the struggle for independence, freedom, and national unification, and to building and defending the Fatherland.

Comrade Dinh Van Diet believes that the new recruits will uphold the tradition of their heroic homeland, the glorious tradition of previous generations, and quickly integrate into the new environment. At the same time, they will strive to study and practice to have good technical and tactical skills, meet the requirements of combat readiness and successfully complete all assigned tasks.

This year, Tra Bong district has 153 young men performing military service in the following units: Regiment 38, Infantry Division 2 (Military Region 5); Provincial Military Command and Provincial Police. All 153 young men who are enlisting this time meet the requirements in terms of politics, education, moral qualities and good health. Among them, there is 1 party member. The new recruits are all excited and proud to be on their way to perform their sacred duty to the Fatherland.

Ms. Ho Thi Trang in village 1, Tra Bao commune, hugged her 3-month-old son and tearfully saw her husband off to join the army. She said, "I know it's very hard to raise a small child alone when my husband is in the army, but I will try to take good care of my son. I hope he will be strong, study hard, and train hard to be able to contribute to the country. My son and I will always be a strong support for him to confidently complete his mission."
