Dialogue conference with labor recruitment businesses

BHG - On the morning of February 13, in Vi Xuyen district, the Provincial People's Committee held a dialogue conference with businesses recruiting workers in 2025. Comrade Vuong Ngoc Ha, member of the Provincial Party Committee, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee chaired the conference. Also attending were leaders of the Department of Labor, War Invalids and Social Affairs (DOLISA), People's Committees of districts and cities, 30 businesses, training and labor recruitment establishments.

In recent years, the province has paid great attention to expanding the labor market to exploit and effectively use the abundant labor force, contributing to job creation, labor restructuring and sustainable poverty reduction. At the same time, vocational training linkages with businesses and units associated with job creation to improve the quality of labor resources. In 2024, the whole province will create jobs for over 30,500 workers, of which nearly 10,500 will create jobs locally; over 20,000 will work outside the province and work abroad. 16,768 people will be recruited and trained at all levels; the rate of trained workers will reach 60%. All levels, sectors and businesses will coordinate to organize hundreds of propaganda, consultation and job introduction sessions for workers. Ha Giang workers are assessed as hard-working, diligent and conscientious in their work. It is forecasted that each year there will be about 30,000 workers in need of employment; by 2025, the province plans to provide employment for 18,500 workers, of which 11,500 will work abroad and outside the province.

At the conference, representatives of units and enterprises discussed and proposed solutions to improve the effectiveness of vocational training and labor recruitment such as: The drastic participation of local Party committees and authorities; strengthening propaganda and mobilizing workers to boldly work outside the province; raising awareness, style, industrial discipline, and skills for workers; being flexible in implementing policies to support workers; increasing annual employment targets; strengthening coordination, providing information and managing workers between enterprises and localities; innovating the program of consultation and job introduction days to attract workers; training workers by address; increasing the rate of trained workers to meet the increasing demands of businesses; policies to support loans for workers.

Speaking at the conference, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Vuong Ngoc Ha thanked the units and enterprises for their interest in the Ha Giang labor market. At the same time, he hoped that enterprises would propose to the province requirements on the number, occupation, qualifications, and age of workers so that the province can have orientation in vocational training and job creation; increase access to workers who are high school students, rural workers, and demobilized soldiers; connect labor needs with focal points such as the Department of Labor, Invalids and Social Affairs of districts and cities, the Provincial Youth Union, and the Provincial Employment Service Center; ensure legal status in the process of consulting and recruiting local workers; diversify appropriate and effective forms of communication; ensure conditions and treatment for workers when recruited; regularly exchange information on the Ha Giang labor situation at enterprises. Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Vuong Ngoc Ha also requested districts and cities to review the number of workers in localities; Check the legal status and development status of enterprises before providing consulting and job introduction; grasp the labor recruitment needs of enterprises and the employment needs of employees; proactively discuss with vocational training institutions to place training orders by address; increase enrollment and career guidance for high school students; have specific plans for implementing vocational training and job creation to ensure completion of targets by 2025.
