According to data released at the media session: The results of the review of poor and near-poor households in 2024 according to the multidimensional poverty standards for the period 2022-2025 announced by the Ministry of Labor, War Invalids and Social Affairs in February 2025, the whole country still has more than 1.2 million poor and near-poor households in multidimensional aspects, accounting for 4.06%, mainly concentrated in the Northern midland and mountainous regions, the Central Highlands, the North Central and the Central Coast. Thus, compared to the results announced last year, the multidimensional poverty rate in 2024 decreased by 1.65% compared to 2023.

In Lam Dong province, according to the results of the review of poor and near-poor households by the Provincial People's Committee, in 2024, the total number of poor households in the province is 2,324, accounting for 0.64% of the total number of households in the province (down 0.45% compared to 2023). Of which: poor ethnic minority households are 1,571 households, accounting for 1.91% of the total number of ethnic minority households in the province (down 1.33% compared to 2023).

The total number of near-poor households in the province is 4,798, accounting for 1.33% of the total number of households in the province (down 0.74% compared to 2023). Of which: near-poor households of ethnic minorities are 2,921, accounting for 3.56% of the total number of ethnic minority households (down 1.95% compared to 2023).

The total number of multidimensional poor households in the province is 7,122, accounting for 1.97% of the total number of households in the province (down 1.19% compared to 2023). Of which: the total number of multidimensional poor households of ethnic minorities in the province is 4,492, accounting for 5.47% of the total number of ethnic minority households in the province (down 3.28% compared to 2023).

Although the poverty rate in the province has decreased significantly, the persistent poverty and the risk of falling back into poverty are still significant challenges. In fact, sustainable poverty reduction needs to continue to be focused on and implemented more synchronously and effectively. This is not only the task of each locality but also an important goal in the roadmap towards sustainable development of the country.
Through the form of dramatization, seminars on sustainable livelihood creation and exchange activities of “catching words by looking at pictures”, women members are equipped with more information and knowledge about policies and guidelines to support hunger eradication and poverty reduction of the Party and State; the implementation process of policies of relevant levels and sectors. Thereby, encouraging members and women to strive to overcome difficult circumstances, seek opportunities to escape poverty, and create sustainable livelihoods in the locality.
