On November 24, Dong Lac commune (Nam Sach) held a memorial service and burial for martyr Tran Xuan Hoa at his hometown cemetery.
Martyr Tran Xuan Hoa (born in 1948), in Cam La village, Dong Lac commune. He enlisted in July 1969, belonging to Battalion 4, Regiment 198, Corps 3, performing the task of resistance against the US, saving the country. On February 18, 1975, he sacrificed his life on the Central Highlands battlefield. His remains were later gathered and buried at the martyrs' cemetery in Dak Lak province.
Martyr Hoa was awarded the Resistance Medal, the Military Exploit Medal and many other noble awards by the State.
Through the work of checking martyrs' graves, the Association for Supporting Martyrs' Families of Hai Duong province discovered information about the grave of martyr Tran Xuan Hoa at the martyrs' cemetery of Dak Lak province. The Association has notified the local authorities and the martyrs' families to carry out procedures to bring the martyrs back to their homeland according to regulations.
Since the beginning of the year, through the information screening of the Association for Supporting Families of Martyrs in Hai Duong province, 6 martyrs have been brought back to be buried in their hometown cemetery.
