After two days of exciting competition, the Ho Chi Minh City Children's Football Tournament - Yamaha Cup 2025 with the participation of 32 football teams in the city, ended on the evening of March 30 at H2 Tan Son Stadium (Tan Binh District).
The tournament is organized by the Vietnam - Japan Football Star Sports Training Center (VJSS), with professional support from the Ho Chi Minh City Football Federation (HFF).
The final day of competition has 4 final matches in 4 categories Champion A, B, C and D. Of which, Champion A is the strongest category, when the 8 leading teams of 8 groups after the group stage will continue to compete for the championship.
As expected of the two strongest teams, Nguyen Van Luong School (District 6) and An Phu School (Thu Duc) played to a draw in the Champion A final.
After a 0-0 draw in regulation time, the two teams had to enter a penalty shootout. As a result, Nguyen Van Luong School won 3-2, thereby winning the championship cup and 10 million VND in prize money.
Contributing greatly to Nguyen Van Luong School's championship, player To Vi Anh won the title of "Best Player", and Tran Hoang Hien Phuoc won the title of "Best Goalkeeper".
The remaining individual title of the tournament, "Top scorer", belonged to Tran The Doanh of Tan Thanh School (Cu Chi).
In addition to organizing the first meaningful playground for children's football in Ho Chi Minh City, VJSS and sponsors also gave many meaningful gifts to the school such as competition balls, training equipment and funding to support the team during the tournament.
In the Champion B final, Luong Dinh Cua School (District 3) defeated Vo Thi Sau School (District 7) 1-0.
In the Champion C final, Tan Bac Lan School (Hoc Mon) defeated Le Van Tam School (Tan Phu district) 4-3.
In the Champion D final, Nguyen Van Troi School (District 4) beat Nguyen Trung Ngan School (District 8) 4-2.
