According to the National Center for Hydro-Meteorological Forecasting, on December 24-25, the northern provinces will have cloudy nights, foggy mornings, and light sunny days. From the night of December 25, the northern region will have scattered rain and light rain.

During the same period, the Central and South Central regions are likely to have moderate to heavy rain; the Central Highlands and Southeast regions will have showers and thunderstorms.

According to the hydrometeorological agency, from the night of December 23-25, the area from Da Nang to Khanh Hoa will have moderate rain, heavy rain, locally very heavy rain and thunderstorms with common rainfall of 60-150mm, locally over 250mm. Warning of the risk of local heavy rain (>100mm/6 hours).

In addition, from early morning to night of December 24, Ninh Thuan, Binh Thuan and the eastern part of the Central Highlands will have moderate rain and scattered thunderstorms, with some places having heavy rain, with common rainfall of 20-40mm, some places over 80mm.

The Meteorological and Hydrological Agency warned that on the night of December 25, the Central Central region will have moderate to heavy rain, locally very heavy rain and thunderstorms with rainfall ranging from 20-40mm, locally over 70mm. Heavy rain can cause flooding in low-lying areas; flash floods in small rivers and streams, and landslides on steep slopes.
