Donating books, notebooks and school supplies to students in Lao Cai province

Phu Tho Youth Union has donated more than 34,000 notebooks, nearly 25,000 pens, 300 school bags and some school supplies with a total value of about 300 million VND to support students of schools damaged by floods in Bat Xat district and Sa Pa town, Lao Cai province.

Phu Tho City Youth Union presented a signboard to support books, notebooks, and school supplies for students in flood-affected areas to a representative of the Department of Education and Training of Bat Xat district, Lao Cai province.

According to statistics, during the recent floods, many schools in Lao Cai province in general, Bat Xat district, Sa Pa town in particular were flooded, damaged desks, chairs, equipment and facilities. In addition, many families of students were flooded, causing their school supplies to be damaged and lost. In order to encourage and share the difficulties and losses caused by floods for students, Phu Tho City Youth Union has launched a campaign for youth union members at affiliated youth union bases; students, individuals, units and organizations in the area to donate books, notebooks and school supplies, helping students return to school.

Youth Union members of Phu Tho town visited and presented books, notebooks, and school supplies to students in Bat Xat district.

The program has received positive responses from many youth union members, students, organizations and individuals in the town. After 5 days of launching (from September 14 to September 19), Phu Tho Town Youth Union has received many books, notebooks, school bags, school supplies, classified and packaged them to give to students in flood-hit areas.

This is a meaningful activity, demonstrating the care, sharing, spirit of “mutual love”, responsibility, and community spirit of the Youth Union members, students, and university students of Phu Tho town towards students in flood-hit areas. Thereby, encouraging them to overcome difficulties, continue to go to school, and excel in their studies and training.
