The warm, artistic auditorium burst into applause to welcome Tran Tien and enthusiastically listened to the musician play, sing, whistle, confide, and tell stories about the inspiration for composing famous songs with rare charm.

A few years ago, Tran Tien received concern from his family and the public when he was fighting cancer in the hospital. Everyone was very happy to see him recover and accepted to participate in music nights filled with memories, helping the audience return to the emotional memory.

The sound of the guitar still resonates far away

Musician Tran Tien said he was very happy to be able to sit on stage to interact and sing in front of thousands of audiences who love him. Because for Tran Tien, any show now could be the last show of his life as he once understood the impermanence of life deeply through the song Lotus Hong Voi Khong: "Human life is like smoke and clouds, looking for the shore of enlightenment"...

Musician Duc Tri (left cover) shared: "Uncle Tien said this is his last concert, but I hope he will continue to return to his beloved audience in the near future."

The musician, born in 1947, suffered from a rare throat disease that made his voice no longer the same as before. But no matter, the audience still listened to him sing with happiness when they saw him present before their eyes, humming the melody and lyrics of Goodbye Swallows that had entered the hearts and childhoods of many people: "Oh, my immense homeland, the sound of my guitar resonates far and wide, singing about you, my sister, who I love, who I love, who I wait for."

Tran Tien has made audiences laugh many times when he tells anecdotes about the most famous songs in his career in a simple, plain and emotional way. Listening to Tran Tien play the guitar, tapping the body of the guitar and whistling: "Happiness is so simple, I never expected it. Every night you still wait, still wait in the rain" (Little Sun), listeners experience pure, nostalgic music and surely everyone is waiting to continue to hear the musician sing with such simple happiness.

Musician Tran Tien revealed to Duc Tri that one of the most successful singers of his music is Cam Van. Cam Van's voice singing the Melody of the Fatherland evokes strong vibrations in everyone's heart: "I listen to the melody of my Fatherland. From many years of ups and downs. I listen to the melody of my Fatherland. From the dream of peace".

“I hear the melody of my homeland”

Musician Duc Tri was the one who convinced his senior Tran Tien to appear in the music night Musique de Salon 15 “Tran Tien and Duc Tri Orchestra”. Duc Tri himself arranged the music, conducted the symphony, played the piano and also played the role of MC excellently with special knowledge, familiarity, charm and wit.

“Uncle Tien said this was his last concert, but I hope he will continue to return to his beloved audience in the near future,” shared musician Duc Tri. Tran Tien’s music is both “full of life” and liberal, romantic and profound, recreated in a new way on the sublime symphony arrangement that musician Duc Tri and the orchestra have worked hard to practice. Tran Tien’s songs have many genres from pop, rock, blue jazz, rap to contemporary folk music, especially Southern musical elements, contributing to Tran Tien’s diverse musical styles.

Having gone through many ups and downs in life, musician Tran Tien confided: “Just keep living like that. Sadness, joy, bitterness in life. Winning and losing, when you have, when you lose. Struggling in a human life”. In the song Khong Thuc Ngan, he wrote to encourage himself, there is a verse: “Stand up! Overcome yourself. The horse’s hooves are still running. Stand up! Overcome fate. The heart still loves...”.

Music lovers hope that Tran Tien's heart will always love life and his melodies will always fly far, far away...
