Specifically, the tuition fee of 60,000 VND/month/student applies to group 1, which is students of schools in Thu Duc City and districts 1, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 10, 11, 12, Binh Thanh, Phu Nhuan, Go Vap, Tan Binh, Tan Phu, Binh Tan. According to statistics from the Department of Education and Training, at the secondary level, the whole city has more than 464,000 public students and more than 30,000 private students. The total estimated budget for tuition exemption for all students is about 237 billion VND. Also in the tuition exemption proposal at this regular meeting of the People's Council, the Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee stated that from 2021, Ho Chi Minh City will support tuition fees.   for students. In 2021-2022, 100% of public tuition fees will be supported. In 2022-2023, a part of the difference due to tuition fee adjustments will be supported. In 2023-2024, the city will support a part of the difference due to tuition fee adjustments for preschool and high school and 100% of tuition fees for middle school. Ho Chi Minh City authorities believe that after 3 years of implementation, the tuition fee support policy is in line with the people's wishes, creating peace of mind and motivation for parents and people to have conditions to develop the economy and restore production and business after a long time of dealing with the epidemic. On the other hand, students can go to school with peace of mind and not have to drop out of school because of their economic conditions and inability to pay tuition fees. At the same time, in the 2024-2025 school year, Ho Chi Minh City has regulated that tuition fees at all levels will return to the same level as applied from the 2021-2022 school year. Therefore, exempting tuition fees is a necessary requirement, creating an impression, demonstrating Ho Chi Minh City's interest in education.
