On December 25, 2024, at the headquarters of the Ministry of Home Affairs, the Information Center organized a summary of the practical exercise to ensure network information security of the Ministry of Home Affairs in 2024.
Attending the Summary were representatives of specialized information technology units in the Ministry of Home Affairs.
Speaking at the summary of the exercise, Mr. Nguyen Thanh Binh - Director of the Information Center of the Ministry of Home Affairs said that this is a specialized task, the practical exercise aims to review situations and incidents that may occur in reality causing insecurity and insecurity of the Ministry of Home Affairs' network information, thereby quickly coordinating with relevant authorities and specialized units to handle incidents, prevent, handle and resolve scenarios of system interruption and data loss; limit and control damages that may occur in reality. Through the exercise, it will contribute to improving the responsibility, awareness and skills to respond to risks and scenarios for the information technology team, ensuring the safety and security of the Ministry of Home Affairs' network information in the coming time.
The 2024 Ministry of Home Affairs' network information security drill aims to: find security vulnerabilities in the website and the system reflecting the Ministry of Home Affairs' recommendations; hack into the server and attack and take over the system server; and propose a plan to thoroughly fix security vulnerabilities and weaknesses (if any) in the system.
Through the drills, the teams recommended that competent authorities continue to pay attention to directing and creating conditions for all civil servants and IT specialists in units of the Ministry of Home Affairs to periodically raise awareness and receive training on network information security; regularly practice network information security drills; continue to update and upgrade security systems, invest in advanced security technologies; and have specific policies on remuneration for civil servants and IT specialists working in state agencies.
