General Secretary: Resolutely implement the GDP growth target of over 8% by 2025

On the morning of February 4, at the Party Central Committee headquarters, General Secretary To Lam chaired a meeting of the Party Central Committee Secretariat to evaluate the implementation of Directive No. 40 of the Secretariat on organizing the Lunar New Year 2025; and directed a number of key tasks of the Central Committee and Party committees at all levels in the coming time.

General Secretary To Lam also noted a number of issues that need to be evaluated and lessons learned to improve. Specifically, promoting the positive effects of Decree 168, it is necessary to continue to strengthen the work of ensuring traffic order and safety, forming awareness of strict compliance with traffic laws; and synchronously implementing solutions to reduce congestion and traffic accidents.

At the same time, continue to strengthen the attack and suppression of crime, especially cyber fraud crimes and crimes that take advantage of festivals to operate, and prevent complex crime activities from returning after Tet; make an overall assessment of consumer demand and purchasing power during Tet to have solutions to manage production, orient the market, and "stimulate" domestic consumption...

Regarding the key tasks in the coming time, basically agreeing with the 9 groups of tasks set out, the General Secretary requested agencies, units and localities to immediately get to work after the Tet holiday, not allowing the situation of prolonged Tet holidays and neglect of work; organizing festivals at the beginning of the year to ensure safety and economy, strictly handling all forms of exploitation and distortion.

Ministries, sectors and localities focus on implementing Conclusion No. 121 dated January 24 of the Central Committee on summarizing Resolution 18 and the plan to reorganize the political system apparatus, ensuring that agencies after the reorganization can operate immediately, without interruption or omission of tasks. At the same time, continue to do a good job of political and ideological education; well implement the regime and policies for cadres, civil servants, public employees and workers affected by the reorganization of the apparatus.

The General Secretary requested careful preparation of the contents of the February National Assembly session, especially those related to organizational restructuring and removing institutional difficulties and obstacles. At the same time, promoting the implementation of Resolution No. 57 on breakthroughs in science, technology, innovation and national digital transformation, especially tasks that must be completed in the first quarter of 2025.

The General Secretary also requested determination to resolutely implement policies and solutions to achieve the GDP growth target of over 8% in 2025, creating momentum for double-digit growth in the 2026-2030 period. All levels and sectors must deploy solutions for public investment disbursement from the beginning of the year, removing bottlenecks for socio-economic development.

The General Secretary emphasized that it is necessary to continue to lead and direct the implementation of Directive No. 35 dated June 14, 2024 and the revised contents on party congresses at all levels towards the 14th National Party Congress; effectively put into use the software to monitor the progress of party congresses at all levels via the VneID application.

In addition, strengthen propaganda work, orient public opinion, consolidate trust and social consensus on national development goals; effectively combat false and hostile arguments, bad and toxic information, especially on the internet.
