Dr. Nhi Le, former Deputy Editor-in-Chief of the Communist Magazine, in his speech sent to the scientific conference "The Communist Party of Vietnam - 95 years of steadfastness in the goal of national independence and socialism, building a prosperous and happy country" emphasized: In early 1930, the Communist Party of Vietnam was born. It was "an inevitable meeting of history" between Marxism-Leninism, the workers' movement, and the patriotic movement, which was forged and seethed in the tradition of thousands of years of bravery and heroic sacrifice of many generations of patriotic Vietnamese people.

Dr. Nhi Le added that it is the crystallization of the people's aspirations, the answer to the development question of the nation's history, the movement of the country in accordance with the development requirements of the times, irresistible, unstoppable. The people welcome, protect and mature in the hearts of the nation, the Party becomes the leader of the Vietnamese revolution, the truly loyal servant of the people, "the offspring of the working class", leading the country to constantly mature, not betraying the trust and entrustment of the people, worthy of the trust of friends from all over the world.
Under the Party's banner, over the past 95 years, our nation has confidently walked firmly on the path of socialism. The great and historic achievements of 40 years of renovation initiated and led by the Party have given our country a new position, new strength and new prestige, rising to power and keeping pace with the times.
The Party's responsibility and honor of ruling before the People is entrusted by the history of the nation and is recognized, entrusted and trusted by the Vietnamese People, and is absolutely not "fallen from the sky" or the subjective arrangement of anyone, or the misunderstanding of any class or stratum.
That is the inevitable and glorious victory of Marxism-Leninism and Ho Chi Minh thought in our country; the embodiment of the philosophy of strong and sustainable development of Vietnam through loyalty and independence; innovation, creativity and democracy; Party discipline in the Vietnamese tradition with noble morality and indomitable spirit; solidarity and tolerance.
That is the great victory of revolutionary heroism, Vietnamese patriotism, of the tradition of great solidarity, spirit and morality of 54 ethnic groups with 100 million compatriots, forged over thousands of years, gathered and developed to a new height, new quality, under the flag of the Party; is the steadfast continuation of the socialist path and the realization of the inevitable, optimal, appropriate and effective renovation of the country through innovation of thinking, vision, proactively seizing opportunities, unleashing resources and unified, creative and concrete actions of the nation.
Dr. Nhi Le analyzed that the ruling Party is the continuation of leading the revolutionary cause in the condition of having state power and the Party leading society with the socialist rule of law state of the people, by the people and for the people, at the same time leading the entire political - social system and the Vietnamese nation with appropriate methods and arts to realize the goal of national independence and socialism, for a rich people, strong country, democracy, fairness and civilization. The Party's responsibility and honor of ruling before the people is entrusted by the history of the nation and is recognized, entrusted and trusted by the Vietnamese people, and is absolutely not "fallen from the sky" or the subjective arrangement of anyone, the misconception of any class or stratum.
“There is no doubt that the history of the Vietnamese nation gave birth to the Communist Party of Vietnam, and in turn, the Party responded to the demands of the nation’s history, meeting the growing need for scale, speed, and depth of the country’s development and in line with the progressive trends of the times. That is the natural and inevitable dialectic of development of the Vietnamese nation and the Communist Party of Vietnam. That is the inevitable development need of the country today, on the path of national independence and socialism, under the Party’s banner. That is the inevitability of the Party’s leadership and governance, its legitimacy, legality, and credibility ensuring its legal and moral status; through practice, the Party enhances and develops its legitimacy, authenticity, and authority to successfully carry out its leadership and governance responsibilities in line with the nation’s history, the people’s aspirations, and the trends of the times,” wrote Dr. Nhi Le.
In his speech to the conference, Associate Professor Dr. Nguyen Danh Tien, Director of the Institute of Party History (Ho Chi Minh National Academy of Politics) also emphasized that national independence and socialism are the revolutionary paths that the Party and leader Nguyen Ai Quoc chose for the Vietnamese people from the beginning, demonstrating Nguyen Ai Quoc's strategic vision and the Party's wisdom, in line with the development trend of the times, meeting the needs and aspirations of all classes of people.
Applying the ideology of Nguyen Ai Quoc - Ho Chi Minh, in the process of leading the revolution, the Communist Party of Vietnam has creatively and flexibly applied those goals in accordance with the specific conditions of each period and historical stage. Thanks to steadfast national independence and socialism, over the past 95 years, the Vietnamese revolution has achieved great victories in the 20th century and great achievements of historical significance after nearly 40 years of carrying out the renovation process.

After nearly 40 years of renovation, “from a poor, backward, low-level, besieged and embargoed country, Vietnam has become a middle-income developing country, deeply and widely integrated into world politics, the global economy, and human civilization, taking on many important international responsibilities, promoting an active role in many important multilateral organizations and forums... Independence, sovereignty, unity and territorial integrity are maintained; national and ethnic interests are guaranteed... People's lives have improved significantly, the poverty rate has decreased sharply; the Millennium Development Goals have been completed early... Political, economic, cultural, social, scientific - technological, national defense and security potential has been constantly enhanced; actively contributing to maintaining peace and stability in the region and the world”.
“The rich reality of the Vietnamese revolution over the past 95 years is a vivid proof that: Persistently pursuing the goals of national independence and socialism is the red thread running through the Party's leadership of the Vietnamese revolution and is an important factor creating great victories in the 20th century and miracles after nearly 40 years of carrying out the renovation process, creating the basis and foundation to successfully realize the goal of building a prosperous, civilized, happy Vietnam, steadily moving towards socialism”, Associate Professor, Dr. Nguyen Danh Tien emphasized.
In an interview with Tien Phong reporter, Associate Professor Dr. Nguyen Trong Phuc, former Director of the Institute of Party History, also emphasized, as the late General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong once emphasized: Our country has never had the foundation, potential, position and international prestige as it does today. Vietnam is converging many conditions in terms of politics, economy, security, national defense, international integration... especially the solidarity of more than 100 million people.
“All of that creates momentum and strength for the country to develop, entering a new era, an era of national growth, towards the goal of a modern, powerful, prosperous, civilized, and happy country,” Mr. Phuc said.

According to Mr. Phuc, the work being implemented such as: the revolution of streamlining the apparatus; breakthroughs in science and technology development; anti-corruption and waste prevention... are all aimed at achieving the goal of developing the country, fulfilling Uncle Ho's will: Our Party has no other purpose than the happiness of the People.

At the scientific conference "The Communist Party of Vietnam - 95 years of steadfastness in the goal of national independence and socialism, building a prosperous and happy country" , Politburo member, Secretary of the Party Central Committee, Head of the Central Propaganda Department Nguyen Trong Nghia (now Head of the Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Department) affirmed that with the correct, scientific and creative revolutionary line, since its inception, the Communist Party of Vietnam has always steadfastly pursued the goal of national independence and socialism, leading the Vietnamese people to establish great victories: the victory of the August Revolution in 1945 and the birth of the Democratic Republic of Vietnam; the victory of 30 years of struggle for national liberation and national reunification (1945-1975); great victories of historical significance in the renovation process, promoting industrialization, modernization and international integration (from 1986 to present), realizing the goal of building a prosperous, strong, democratic, equitable and civilized Vietnam. These achievements have consolidated the foundation and created a strong driving force for our Party to continue to lead the country firmly into a new era - the era of national development.

Mr. Nguyen Trong Nghia emphasized that the vivid and rich practice of the Vietnamese revolution is a strong proof that the correct and wise leadership of the Party is the decisive factor in all victories of the Vietnamese revolution, continuing to write golden pages in the history of the nation. At the same time, through the practice of revolutionary leadership, our Party has been tempered, tested and constantly matured, worthy of the mission of leading the revolution, with the trust of the people; thereby, affirming a truth: "In Vietnam, there is no other political force, except the Communist Party of Vietnam, that has enough mettle, intelligence, experience, prestige and ability to lead the country to overcome all difficulties and challenges, bringing the revolutionary cause of the nation from one victory to another".
Speaking at a meeting with former Party and State leaders on the occasion of the Lunar New Year 2025, General Secretary To Lam emphasized that looking back at the glorious and proud history and tradition of the Party over the past 95 years, we see more clearly the responsibility of today's generation of leaders and Party members in the historical process of the nation. The Party's current mission is to lead and bring the country into an era of development and prosperity, successfully building a socialist Vietnam with rich people, a strong country, democracy, fairness, civilization, on par with the world powers; ensuring that all people have a prosperous and happy life, are supported to develop and get rich; and contribute more and more to the peace, stability, development of the world, the happiness of humanity and global civilization.

According to the General Secretary, from now until 2030 is the most important period to establish a new world order. This is also the period, the strategic opportunity, the final stage of the Vietnamese revolution to achieve the 100-year strategic goal under the leadership of the Party, creating a solid foundation to achieve the goal of 100 years of national founding. If we miss the opportunity, we will be guilty towards the country and the people. That is the order of the times.
The General Secretary affirmed: The Party Central Committee, the Politburo, the Secretariat and agencies in the political system continue to promote the spirit of solidarity and unity in organizing and effectively implementing work programs. Our Party is more united, more cohesive, and coordinates more smoothly. Facing the new historical moment, there is an urgent need to strongly innovate leadership methods and improve the Party's leadership and governance capacity to bring our nation forward strongly.

The year 2025 is of special significance, a year of acceleration and breakthrough to successfully complete the 5-year socio-economic development plan 2021-2025, a year of many important events of the country. To successfully achieve the goal of becoming a developing country with high average income by 2030, and a developed country with high income by 2045, the General Secretary emphasized that from 2025, it is necessary to make maximum efforts, create breakthrough factors in attracting investment, strongly promote production, business and services; strive to achieve a growth rate of at least 8% or higher; create a solid foundation to achieve double-digit growth from 2026. The country in historical times needs high will and determination, and needs to have historic decisions.
“We can absolutely do it with innovative thinking, high determination, great efforts, drastic actions, breakthrough solutions, creative and effective ways of doing things. Accordingly, it is necessary to mobilize and arouse all resources, motivations, and creativity; exploit and use all hidden potentials, opportunities, and advantages of the country, of each party organization, party member, each level, each sector, each agency, unit, enterprise, and each Vietnamese citizen. More than ever, we need to promote the spirit of solidarity, unity, and consensus, "dare to speak, dare to think, dare to do, and dare to make breakthroughs for the common good," the General Secretary affirmed.

Emphasizing that the achievements of 40 years of renovation are enormous and of historical significance, helping Vietnam accumulate position and strength for breakthrough development in the next period; however, according to the General Secretary, we should not be complacent with what we have and seriously review to see clearly where we are in today's world; clearly see the limitations, weaknesses and challenges that are posing now and in the coming years, not only from the outside, from objective factors, but also from internal problems, "barriers" from institutions and culture. The risks that the Party has pointed out for a long time still exist, some aspects are more complicated.
Continuing to shoulder the responsibility of history, in the coming time, General Secretary To Lam clearly stated that priority should be given to effectively implementing the groups of tasks. First of all, the issue of Party building, the country's development requirements urgently require the Party to continue to strongly innovate its leadership methods, improve its leadership capacity and governing capacity.
Second, the central task of socio-economic development requires stronger, more decisive, drastic, revolutionary, and comprehensive innovation in economic management.
Third, we should focus on developing culture and society and building Vietnamese people with sufficient qualities and capacities to meet the requirements of sustainable development, while ensuring social security, building a healthy living environment, mitigating natural disasters, and adapting to climate change. Investment in cultural development needs to be in harmony with the economy and society, creating a civilized, united and progressive society.
Fourthly, firmly protect independence, sovereignty, unity and territorial integrity; ensure political security and social order and safety; promote foreign affairs and international integration.
The General Secretary emphasized that 2025 is of utmost importance, being the final year of the 13th National Party Congress; the year of holding Party Congresses at all levels towards the 14th National Party Congress and also the year of celebrating many important political events. The General Secretary requested that focusing on successfully implementing the Resolution of the 13th National Party Congress is the highest goal of the entire Party, people and army in 2025. This task will be carried out with the highest determination, greatest efforts, drastic actions, with focus and key points, with the most effective implementation solutions, concentrating all resources and measures, striving to achieve and exceed the set goals, creating the premise for a breakthrough period for the next period.
The General Secretary proposed to hold party congresses at all levels to prepare for the 14th National Party Congress, focusing on two main contents: preparing documents for the Congress and preparing personnel. In particular, regarding personnel work, this is an important task, the "key" of "keys", having decisive significance for the successful implementation of the Party's policies and guidelines to bring the country into a new era.
Along with that, it is necessary to implement the policy of the Central Executive Committee on summarizing the implementation of Resolution No. 18-NQ/TW and arranging and perfecting the organization of the political system to be streamlined, effective and efficient. The General Secretary stated that this is an urgent requirement and a particularly important task, which is highly anticipated, welcomed and strongly supported by cadres, party members and people throughout society.
In the article Radiant Vietnam on the occasion of the 95th anniversary of the founding of the Communist Party of Vietnam (February 3, 1930 - February 3, 2025), General Secretary To Lam emphasized: Our Party was born with the mission of leading the revolution, representing the interests of the working class, the working people and the entire Vietnamese nation. Right from the early days of the struggle for independence, until becoming the ruling party, the Party has always been steadfast in the goal of national liberation, building socialism, bringing prosperity and happiness to the people. The Party does not exist for its own benefit but operates for the benefit of all the people. The Party's leadership power does not come from itself, but is delegated by the people, and is a mandate from the people. The Party has no other purpose than to fight for the interests of the people, the nation and the people. President Ho Chi Minh once emphasized: "The Party is not an organization for officials to become rich. It must fulfill its mission of liberating the nation, making the Fatherland rich and strong, and the people happy." Therefore, the Party must always be closely attached to the people, take the interests of the people as the highest goal, maintain its revolutionary nature and pioneering role.
Looking back at 95 years of Party building and growth, the General Secretary affirmed that we have the right to be proud and have complete confidence in the bright future of the Party and the nation.
“In 1945, when leading the entire people to successfully carry out the August Revolution, our Party had only nearly 5,000 members, but with the right guidelines, steadfast spirit, indomitable will and patriotism, the Party led the people to glorious victory, establishing the Democratic Republic of Vietnam. By 1960, when the country entered the period of long-term resistance against the US to save the country, the number of Party members had increased to about 500,000 people, becoming the nucleus leading the entire nation to fight for independence and national unification.
Today, with more than 5.4 million party members, our force is constantly growing in both quantity and quality, capable of shouldering the responsibility of leading the country forward in the new era. Each party member is a symbol of the faith, intelligence and solidarity of the entire nation. The Communist Party of Vietnam, under the light of Marxism-Leninism and Ho Chi Minh Thought, will continue to successfully fulfill its historic mission. With firm belief in the strength of the Party and the solidarity of the entire nation, we affirm: The entire Party, the entire people and the entire army will unite to overcome all difficulties and challenges, bring the country to rapid and sustainable development in the new era, and build a glorious and bright future for the Vietnamese people," General Secretary To Lam emphasized.
