The 13th Congress of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor, taking place from December 1 to 3, has the task of objectively and comprehensively assessing the implementation of the Resolution of the 12th Congress of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor, concretizing the Party's policies on building a strong working class and trade union organization, and reviewing the leadership role of the Executive Committee and Presidium of the 12th Vietnam General Confederation of Labor.
Determine the goals, directions, and tasks of the workers', civil servants', and laborers' movement and trade union activities for the next 5 years; amend and supplement the Trade Union Charter. Elect a new Executive Committee of the General Confederation of Labor that is truly exemplary in terms of qualities, politics, ethics, and working capacity, with courage, intelligence, enthusiasm, and responsibility, meeting the requirements of leadership in implementing the Resolution of the 13th Congress of the Vietnam Trade Union.
