President Ho Chi Minh's entire life was devoted to the vitality of the nation and humanity. That vitality comes from culture, from the values that he left behind.
Ho Chi Minh's life, career, ideology, morality and style clearly show that patriotism is the top value in the scale of Vietnamese cultural values; it is the red thread running through the history of the Vietnamese revolution. It is not only the driving force in the struggle for national independence but also the driving force in building a rich, civilized and happy country. Ho Chi Minh's development philosophy is a development philosophy through the transformation of human issues in a positive direction, the main content of which is the cultivation and practice of morality. It expresses the good things, exalts the beauty of people, makes people have a burning desire to reach pure freedom in the system of the universe.
In his journey of dedication to the nation's vitality, Uncle Ho had a very short stopover to teach at Duc Thanh school from September 1910. Teacher Nguyen Tat Thanh not only wholeheartedly imparted cultural knowledge and progressive ideas but also instilled in his students' minds a sense of origin, aroused national pride, patriotism, love for compatriots and the concerns of people who lost their country through each useful lecture and practical field trips in life. Before leaving Phan Thiet - Binh Thuan, he left a letter filled with deep feelings, saying goodbye to Duc Thanh school and his beloved students to Saigon.
The decision to seek the truth to save the country with a new direction, a new approach, a new method of action - that was Ho Chi Minh's first great innovation, an innovation that had a decisive meaning for the fate of the country and the nation. Returning to the country, Ho Chi Minh creatively applied Marxism-Leninism and the experience of the world revolutionary movement, especially the Russian October Revolution, to the historical context of Vietnam - adding "flow" to the continuous innovation of the Party and the Vietnamese people under the banner and guidance of the "General Engineer of Innovation" - Ho Chi Minh.
Following the revolutionary path chosen by President Ho Chi Minh, our Party and people, the Vietnamese revolution has recorded brilliant golden pages of history, won national independence, unified the country, steadily advanced to socialism and achieved great achievements of historical significance in the cause of innovation, construction and protection of the Fatherland. Affirming and continuing Ho Chi Minh's journey, the 13th National Party Congress determined to continue promoting the study and following of Ho Chi Minh's ideology, morality and style with strong, drastic and synchronous measures; focusing on doing well 3 issues: Studying, following, setting an example; at the same time, encouraging and motivating cadres and party members to think and act for the common good, for the happiness of the people.
Studying and following Ho Chi Minh's ideology, morality and lifestyle is a major, continuous and long-term policy of our Party. In both theory and practice, Directive No. 05-CT/TW, dated May 15, 2016 of the Politburo is a wise and timely decision that will certainly receive the consensus of cadres, party members and the whole society.
In general, after 7 years of implementing Directive 05-CT/TW of the Politburo and recently implementing Instruction No. 06, dated January 12, 2023 of the Standing Committee of Binh Thuan Provincial Party Committee on organizing a political activity with the theme "Keeping the oath of Party members" has achieved important and quite comprehensive results in all aspects, gradually creating a spreading influence in studying and following Ho Chi Minh's ideology, morality and style of cadres, party members and people of all walks of life in the province, contributing to promoting socio-economic development, ensuring national defense and security, building a clean and strong Party and political system, preventing and repelling ideological, political, moral and lifestyle degradation in a number of cadres, party members, civil servants and public employees of the province.
In the past 7 years, the districts, towns, city committees, and party committees directly under the Provincial Party Committee have commended many collectives and individuals who have achieved titles and are typical examples of progress in studying and following Ho Chi Minh's ideology, morality, and style. These are beautiful flowers offered to beloved Uncle Ho, the core nucleus to contribute to making the implementation of Directive 05-CT/TW increasingly permeate social life, positively impacting the feelings of each citizen, multiplying positive factors and good qualities, creating an increasingly strong spread in society, becoming an important driving force to create an emulation movement to build Binh Thuan province to become more and more prosperous and civilized as Uncle Ho always wished during his lifetime.
However, in addition to the achieved results, studying and following Uncle Ho's ideology, morality and style still has some limitations and shortcomings such as: The awareness of some cadres and party members about the meaning and importance of studying and following Ho Chi Minh's ideology, morality and style is not adequate during the term and each year; not resolute, persistent and close in leading and directing the implementation of the contents of Directive No. 05; lacking creativity in implementation, not creating a widespread influence. Inspection and supervision work has not been carried out regularly, so limitations and shortcomings have not been promptly detected for correction and overcoming. The responsibility of setting an example of some key cadres, heads of localities, agencies, units and a number of cadres and party members is not high... The discovery, training, replication and dissemination of advanced models have not received due attention.
Therefore, it is necessary to continue to propagate the basic contents and great values of Ho Chi Minh's ideology, morality and style; typical advanced examples, good and creative practices of localities, agencies and units in studying and following Uncle Ho.
Party committees, Party organizations, agencies and units need to select and identify key tasks and breakthroughs, especially in resolving pressing issues of public concern, promoting economic restructuring, administrative procedure reform, enhancing dialogue, receiving citizens, rectifying discipline, working style...; thereby, contributing to creating clear changes in the implementation of political tasks, awareness of self-cultivation, training, improving revolutionary ethics, sense of responsibility, working style, working order, attitude of serving the people of cadres, party members, civil servants and public employees; the responsibility of setting an example of cadres and party members, especially key leaders at all levels, is increasingly raised.
For every cadre, party member, and individual, studying and following Ho Chi Minh's ideology, moral example, and style must become an internal, voluntary need, a very important and regular task, in order to educate and train oneself. First of all, it is to perfect one's personality as a human being, on that foundation, then we can talk about becoming a communist personality, a cadre, and worthy of being a member of the Communist Party of Vietnam.
The ideology, morality, style and great career of President Ho Chi Minh are the immense and precious spiritual assets of our nation, which have been, are and will always be the flag illuminating the path of the Vietnamese revolution. That legacy is a handbook for each of us to cultivate, train, strive, maintain faith, steadfast in ideals, enhance our mettle to overcome all difficulties, and continue the journey to realize the aspiration to develop the country and homeland to be prosperous and happy.
