'I was once out of favor, had no shows, and had to make do with being a DJ'

As a guest of The Khang show number 51, supermodel Vo Hoang Yen had the opportunity to open up about her career path. The beauty said that she started modeling quite early and quickly became successful, so she couldn't help but feel complacent.

"I came to modeling very innocently. The first time I stepped onto the stage, I felt that the halo should belong to me, I was born to be a model.

I succeeded very easily, like a car running smoothly on the road without encountering any obstacles. But now I know that people who succeed early do not have the experience of falling, do not have the experience of appreciating what they have. I rose so fast that I always thought I was the center of the universe," she confided.

"Star disease" caused Vo Hoang Yen to gradually lose the position she had built in the modeling industry. Currently, the supermodel realizes that the events and "fall from grace" back then gave her the opportunity to look back at herself.

The beauty shared: "Now looking back at the consecutive events that happened to me at that time, I think that it was an opportunity for me. Without that period of time, there would be no Vo Hoang Yen today, no Vo Hoang Yen who knows how to listen and understand others, knows how to put herself in the position of others like now."

Vo Hoang Yen shares about 3 years of "disappearance" from the fashion catwalk.

The beauty "disappeared" from the entertainment industry for 3 years because she was no longer interested. During this time, Vo Hoang Yen still spent money to do high fashion photoshoots, make MVs, and sing even though she was not well received by the audience.

" I did everything to satisfy my own desires, but I didn't get recognition from the audience. Then the money ran out, I didn't know how to do media to get support, so I had to find a job. I thought about studying abroad, but somehow I met DJ Kaiser; he showed me how to study, then we became a male-female DJ couple."

After 2 years of working as a DJ, Vo Hoang Yen was invited to be a judge on the show Vietnam Next Top Model . Feeling that this was an opportunity to return to the fashion catwalk, the beauty immediately seized it.

"At that time, I weighed nearly 70kg, looking in the mirror I felt so disgusting. I decided to discipline myself to lose weight because at that time I was not only performing but also training, if I was teaching, I had to be an example for my students," she said.

After regaining her beautiful figure and having the opportunity to return to the entertainment industry, Vo Hoang Yen continued to conquer a new peak, which was competing in Miss Universe Vietnam: "I don't like to stay in one place, I want to challenge myself and erase the prejudice that models cannot become beauty queens. I entered the competition and was lucky to become 1st runner-up. Thanks to that, I believe in my ability, that if I want to, I can do it."
