Before becoming Miss Universe Vietnam 2023, the beauty from Ninh Binh was the runner-up of The Face Vietnam 2023, on Vu Thu Phuong's team. In addition to the cash prize of 300 million VND, Miss Xuan Hanh won the right to compete in Miss Cosmo (Miss Universe International), which will be held in Vietnam for the first time in 2024.

Dan Viet reporter had a conversation with Miss Xuan Hanh in the first days of the new year of Giap Thin 2024 about her life, love life and biggest wishes in this new year.

Miss Xuan Hanh: "After being crowned, the thing that changed me the most was probably my habits."

Can 2023 be considered a "bumper crop" or "lucky" year for Bui Thi Xuan Hanh when you are both the runner-up of The Face Vietnam 2023 and Miss Universe Vietnam 2023 (Miss Cosmo Vietnam)?

- Until now, I still feel lucky for making bold decisions to participate in two contests: The Face Vietnam 2023, Miss Universe Vietnam 2023 and trying until the last minute. There were times when I wanted to stop for a bit to rest, especially after finishing a contest where I lost 10kg to practice and stay up all night. But in the end, I decided and pursued what I wanted.

Being crowned Miss Universe Vietnam on the evening of December 31, 2023, between the transition from the old year to the new year of Giap Thin 2024, was also the most special thing for me in the past year. And it can be said that it is the only moment in my life that I will remember forever. The final night of Miss Universe Vietnam 2023 also opened a new chapter for me to welcome and strive for in the upcoming journey.

Surely Xuan Hanh had to change a lot in her habits, lifestyle, behavior... to become the new Miss Universe Vietnam 2023?

- The biggest change I have probably made is my habit of going to the movies, going out, meeting friends… activities that I used to do. Currently, due to my schedule and many other factors, I don’t often have appointments to meet people again.

As the girl who admitted more than a year ago that she had "nothing in her hands, just a suitcase with high heels and a few clothes, going to Saigon alone", has Xuan Hanh ever faced temptations, even indecent advances?

- I have never faced or encountered the above problems. In the future, I think I am sober enough to face and overcome them.

Up to now, what assets does Miss Xuan Hanh have?

- Up to now, the assets I have are the trophies and the crown of Miss Universe Vietnam 2023 named "Tre's 15 The Crown" and the big family "Universe family".

These are clear evidences of the journeys and stages in the past year 2023. In addition, I also have enough material conditions to be able to carry out my plans and projects for this new year.

Miss Xuan Hanh: "My biggest wish is to conquer Miss Cosmo 2024"

After receiving a "huge" bonus from the Miss Universe Vietnam 2023 contest, what did Xuan Hanh do and how does she plan to spend it in the new year 2024?

- I will divide the expenses into 3 main categories: charity, self-improvement, and living expenses. For charity, I will publicize my images and activities on the platforms. The cost of participating in training and courses to consolidate knowledge and skills, preparing for my upcoming important competition, Miss Cosmo (Miss Universe International). And the amount of living expenses depends on my ability to pay at each time.
