The Long Son Petrochemical Complex with an investment of over 5 billion USD in Ba Ria - Vung Tau has officially started commercial operations. This complex creates jobs for thousands of workers and pays over 100 million USD in taxes.

On the afternoon of September 30, Long Son Petrochemical Company Limited (LSP, a member of SCG Group, Thailand) announced that the Long Son Petrochemical Complex (Long Son Commune, Vung Tau City, Ba Ria - Vung Tau Province) has officially started commercial operations. This complex has a total investment of more than 5 billion USD, and is the first integrated petrochemical complex in Vietnam. LSP's announcement commits to focusing on sustainable, safe and environmentally friendly development thanks to advanced and modern technology.

Mr. Kulachet Dharachandra, General Director of LSP, expects the complex to play an important role in the development, long-term economic growth and enhancing the competitive advantage of the petrochemical and plastics industry in Vietnam.
