VNGGames 2024 Imprint: Creating value for the Vietnamese gaming industry, promoting digital economic development

After 20 years of persistent development, constant innovation and expansion, VNGGames continues to affirm its position as the leading game publisher in the region in 2024.

In 2024, VNGGames released 17 game titles in Vietnam and Southeast Asian and South Asian markets with a variety of themes and genres. Notable among them are: Ghost Story: Thien Nu, Bomber VNG, Thien Long Bat Bo, ROBLOX VNG, CheonSangBi Mobile, Tay Du Beo, Forsaken World 2... VNGGames also launched the Play Now platform with products following the Minigame model, which can be played directly on the application without having to download again.

In the self-developed game segment, VNGGames has launched 4 3D shooting games, attracting players from 200 countries around the world. The total number of installations in the year reached 50 million, concentrated in prominent markets such as the United States, Japan, India, Canada... By the end of the third quarter of 2024, the total bookings of the game segment reached 5,606 billion VND, of which 26% were bookings from the international market. More than 77 million users are playing VNGGames games regularly every quarter. Strengthening cooperation with global partners In 2024, VNGGames continues to expand cooperation with leading names in the global game industry, consolidating its position as the leading game publisher in the region. Specifically, in August 2024, VNGGames officially announced a joint venture with NCSOFT - Korea's leading role-playing game corporation - called NCV Games, exclusively publishing NCSOFT's famous role-playing games across the Southeast Asian market; VNGGames also cooperated with Roblox Corporation, officially exclusively publishing the Roblox - VNG game, aiming to build a creative and safe gaming community in Vietnam.

In the eSports sector, VNGGames will cooperate with the giant Riot Games to implement the League of Legends (LMHT) eSports plan in 2025, aiming for a large-scale LMHT tournament across Asia - Pacific, gathering the top teams in the region, including Vietnam.

According to official statistics, the Vietnamese gaming industry has surpassed the 500 million USD revenue mark, ranking 5th in Southeast Asia. The number of people accessing gaming entertainment accounts for more than half of Vietnam's population. According to the Ministry of Information and Communications, the goal by 2030, the Vietnamese gaming industry will reach the 1 billion USD revenue mark.

Continuing to "catch the wave" of AI Determining that Artificial Intelligence (AI) will completely change the world in the coming years, VNGGames has increased the application of GenAI in the process of releasing and developing games. The VNGGames creative team has researched and developed Artian - a digital drawing platform that combines AI and art based on the Stable Diffusion image generation model, helping VNGGames studios save up to 50-70% of production time and costs. Some stages can even increase work efficiency by 3 times compared to normal.

Most recently, the AI graphics platform Artian continued to launch version 2.0, providing more accurate and suitable results, shortening the time to create visual ideas by 30%, reducing the time to create illustrative models by 50%, allowing video trailers to be built in just a few minutes. In addition, VNGGames also constantly improves the quality of products and services by developing support platforms dedicated to the gaming community, including: VNGGames eSports - an official and comprehensive eSports information portal about domestic and international eSports tournaments; VNGGames Club - a customer care program dedicated to long-time gamers; VNGGames Choi Ngay - a multi-platform online entertainment game portal.

2024 is considered a successful year for VNGGames with a series of important awards. This is the clearest proof of VNGGames's contributions and tireless efforts on the 20-year journey of building and developing.

Actively accompanying the Vietnamese gaming industry and eSports community In May 2024, VNGGames continues to accompany and participate in Vietnam Game Festival - Vietnam GameVerse 2024, bringing more than 19 famous game titles, attracting more than 10,000 gamers to participate in experience and exchange activities.

In addition, with its long-standing operating capacity in the market, VNGGames also actively participates in sharing experiences at major forums, discussing issues on policy mechanisms between state management agencies and enterprises, with the goal of promoting the development and shaping the future of the Vietnamese gaming industry, a field with great potential for digital economic development. On the journey of 20 years of continuous development, VNGGames has always played an active role in supporting and accompanying the Vietnamese gaming industry, especially in activities promoting the eSports industry.
