On the morning of June 19, Ms. Vo Hong Linh, Chairman of the People's Committee of Duong To Commune (Phu Quoc City, Kien Giang), said that the commune had issued a notice to find relatives of a baby boy found abandoned in the area.
According to initial information, at around 6am on June 17, at Group 3, Suoi Lon Hamlet, Duong To Commune, people discovered a baby suspected of being abandoned. The baby boy was about 4 months old, weighing about 6 kg. The baby's health was stable, and his body shape was not deformed. In addition to the baby boy, there was also a crib, a basket of clothes, a milk bottle, and a used milk carton.
A 4-year-old boy was abandoned in Duong To commune, Phu Quoc city, Kien Giang.
Duong To Commune People's Committee announced that whoever is the biological parents of the child should come to the commune office to complete the procedures to reclaim the child. After 7 days without information about the biological parents of the child, Duong To Commune People's Committee will proceed to register the birth of the abandoned child and related procedures according to the law.
Ms. Vo Hong Linh added that the baby boy is being cared for by a family living in Suoi Lon hamlet, Duong To commune. This is also the person who discovered the abandoned baby. "After 7 days, if we cannot find the baby's relatives, we will organize a review to select families with sufficient conditions to carry out adoption procedures so that the baby can be cared for and raised in the best conditions," Ms. Linh said.
