On the morning of March 10, the memorial service for comrade Le Minh Chau, former National Assembly Delegate, former member of the Standing Committee of the City Party Committee, former Vice Chairman of the Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee, and 65-year Party member, was held at his private residence (Tan Truong area, Phu Thuan ward, District 7).
Coming to express condolences to the family and send off comrade Le Minh Chau to his final resting place were comrades: Former Vice President Truong My Hoa; Le Thanh Hai, former Politburo member, former Secretary of the Ho Chi Minh City Party Committee; Nguyen Van Nen, Politburo member, Secretary of the Ho Chi Minh City Party Committee; Nguyen Ho Hai, Standing Deputy Secretary of the Ho Chi Minh City Party Committee; and leaders and former leaders of the Party, State and Ho Chi Minh City from all periods.
Reading the eulogy, comrade Phan Van Mai, member of the Party Central Committee, Deputy Secretary of the City Party Committee, Chairman of the Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee, Head of the Funeral Organizing Committee emphasized that throughout his life of revolutionary activities, comrade Le Minh Chau, regardless of his position, was always a person full of enthusiasm and responsibility for his work, always striving to complete assigned tasks.
In the prison of the colonial imperialists, he was steadfast and fought, fully demonstrating the qualities of a revolutionary soldier.
During his work, Comrade Ba Chau has always been a dedicated and highly responsible cadre, always researching, exploring, creating, looking for new ways and new models to contribute to the development of Ho Chi Minh City during the period of healing the wounds of war, being surrounded and embargoed. He is a cadre who is always close, attentive, cheerful, and sociable with everyone, always caring about the younger generation, especially young cadres from the working class.
As a National Assembly delegate, he always spoke up for the workers, always fought to protect the rights of workers and the working class.
One of the important marks of comrade Le Minh Chau was to initiate, propose and be creative in the work of separating the functions and tasks of State economic management of the City People's Committee, departments such as the Department of Trade, Department of Industry, Department of Agriculture and the functions and tasks of management, operation and production of enterprises in the period of 1991 - 1995.
Comrade Le Minh Chau is truly a shining example of steadfast revolutionary ideals, infinite loyalty to the Party and the country, dedicating all his efforts to the cause of national liberation, building and defending the Fatherland. He always maintains the qualities of purity, simplicity, closeness, modesty, and is loved by his comrades, teammates, and neighbors.
“Comrade Ba Chau has passed away, leaving behind immense sorrow for his family, relatives, friends, comrades and the people of Ho Chi Minh City. From now on, the family will forever miss the comrade - a beloved and exemplary husband, father and grandfather. Please, the family, suppress your grief and always be proud of him, an exemplary example of family love, living with integrity and devotion. With his passing, the Ho Chi Minh City Party Committee has lost a loyal cadre to the revolution, an exemplary role model to the people,” Chairman of the Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee Phan Van Mai was moved.
The family representative, the daughter of comrade Le Minh Chau, shared that throughout the funeral organization process until the last moment of the memorial service, the family received help and support from the Funeral Organizing Committee and agencies at all levels, the locality, relatives, and neighbors.
Comrade Le Minh Chau's family sincerely thanks the leaders of the Party, State, Ho Chi Minh City, comrades, teammates, colleagues, and friends who came to visit and send wreaths of condolences for the great loss - the eternal departure of the husband, father, and grandfather in the family.

“Dear Dad! Now our family can no longer hear your laughter; every night, we can no longer hear you tapping the rhythm to the music of Mom. You taught us to be sincere with ourselves and generous with everyone. Overcoming many difficulties, you lived fully for the country, for your comrades and for your loved ones. Thank you for bringing us to this world, we are always proud and remember what you told us. We will love each other and take care of Mom together, hoping you will pass away peacefully. Goodbye, Dad, with endless regrets!”, comrade Le Minh Chau’s daughter choked up.
After the funeral, the leaders and family members performed the funeral procession, put the coffin of comrade Le Minh Chau on the hearse, left his home and went to his resting place at the City Cemetery (Thu Duc City, Ho Chi Minh City).
