The rate of social security payments through accounts for beneficiaries has increased significantly.

According to statistics of Quang Tri town, by August 2024, payments had been made through accounts for 497/1,097 beneficiaries, reaching a rate of 45.3%; payments had been made through accounts for 593/1,219 social protection beneficiaries, reaching a rate of 48.65%. Regarding pensioners, according to the statistical report provided by the town's Post Office (the unit with a payment contract with the Social Insurance), by August 2024, 915/1,836 beneficiaries received pension benefits through accounts, reaching a rate of 49.83%.

To implement cashless payments to beneficiaries of social security policies in the area, the Department of Labor, Invalids and Social Affairs of Quang Tri town has coordinated with relevant agencies and units to increase information and propaganda about the purpose, meaning, benefits and solutions for developing cashless payments; the utilities of bank accounts when making preferential payments to meritorious people, social protection subsidies and other non-cash social security subsidies...

People's Committees of wards and communes coordinate to do a good job of reviewing, collecting information, and mobilizing beneficiaries of social security policies to open accounts to receive non-cash social security benefits through the accounts of the beneficiaries and authorized persons.

Thanks to that, the number of beneficiaries paid through accounts out of the total number of beneficiaries managed in the area has increased significantly. Along with the achieved results, the implementation process still has some problems and difficulties such as: Social security beneficiaries are mostly the elderly, the disabled, the vulnerable... so access to information technology is still limited; some beneficiaries are still hesitant to authorize their children, grandchildren or guardians to receive subsidies through accounts...

In the coming time, Quang Tri town will continue to direct wards and communes to promote propaganda and mobilization work to contribute to positively impacting beneficiaries of social security policies in the area with the goal of expanding and increasing the rate of beneficiaries opening accounts and receiving subsidies through accounts.

At the same time, direct to continue to effectively implement the contract for paying monthly allowances to meritorious people and social protection between the post office, the Department of Labor, Invalids and Social Affairs of the town and the wards and communes.

Review, compare and provide a list of beneficiaries registered for subsidy payment through accounts to the payment unit to ensure accuracy, limit errors in beneficiary information leading to delayed subsidy payment.

Focus on inspection, supervision, dialogue and settlement of recommendations, complaints and denunciations related to the implementation of non-cash payments to beneficiaries of social security policies in the town.
