Vung Ang 1 Thermal Power Plant strives to produce nearly 2 billion kWh in the second quarter

According to Tran Huu Duong - Deputy Head of Planning - Materials Department, Ha Tinh Oil and Gas Power Company: In the first months of 2025, the company has proactively coordinated with related units to complete the maintenance and repair of 2 generators of Vung Ang 1 Thermal Power Plant with a total capacity of 1,200 MW. Currently, the company is focusing all resources to safely and stably operate the generators at all times.

Vung Ang 1 Thermal Power Plant is located in Ky Loi commune, Ky Anh town.

In the first quarter, Vung Ang 1 Thermal Power Plant generated 1,754.5 million kWh to the national grid, with expected revenue of about VND3,182 billion.

Entering the second quarter of 2025, the demand for electricity for production and household electricity across the country is forecast to increase. Determining the role and task of ensuring national energy security and serving the development of the country's economy, Vung Ang 1 Thermal Power Plant continues to closely coordinate with Vietnam Electricity Group and the National Power System Control Center to mobilize maximum capacity, and coordinate with the Oil and Gas Power Fuel Supply Company to proactively source coal fuel.

At the same time, the factory ensures the economic and technical standards approved by the Vietnam Oil and Gas Power Corporation and Ha Tinh Oil and Gas Power Company; continues to promote technical management, safety and labor protection; applies science and technology in electricity production, and ensures environmental sanitation.

The factory continues to develop and synchronously deploy solutions to strengthen control and maximize cost savings; manage and use capital and assets safely and for the right purposes to ensure optimal efficiency in production and business activities; focus on fire prevention and fighting and rescue during the hot season...

According to the plan, in the second quarter of 2025, Vung Ang 1 Thermal Power Plant strives to reach commercial electricity output of 1,979 million kWh, with expected revenue of about 3,611 billion VND.

In 2025, Vung Ang 1 Thermal Power Plant (Ha Tinh Oil and Gas Power Company) aims to produce 6.5 billion kWh of electricity, with revenue reaching about VND 11,816 billion.
